Has to do with the barometric pressure and the amount of air you have in your tires.

Hell, I can't drive but a few hours north without being politely told to turn back. Gimme southbound all day.
You never had that problem in Ardmore, baw, just saying.

can't explain it but when driving North out of State---- it is always slower going than returning. so roll wit it.

Going 262 miles uphill at 60mph is going to take a lot longer than going 262 miles downhill at 60mph, duh

I drive from Southside, Al (where I live) to Colquitt County ,Ga (where I grew up) and I always make better time, mpg on the way down then on the way back. I have always chalked mpg up to the decrease in elevation on the way down vs increase in elevation on the way back up

Traveling north you’re fighting gravity, south gravity is aiding you. Dumbass

Nitrogen filled or old fashioned air?

If the dumb questions were removed from the OT, would the OT cease to exist?

now do the math driving south x's 100 mph to save gas divided by nitrogen tires

Nobody is busting arse trying to get to Springville but everybody wants to get to the beach asap.

Driving home always “feels” shorter. 20 minutes plus or minus is probably within the standard deviation of traffic, construction, etc.

You’re going uphill when heading north. Trust the science.

Look at the pictures. He posted them backwards. He posted south bound first, northbound second. Look at the A vs B pins.

Put it in Google maps.
3:52 down
3:53 up
Up had construction.
You're wife is correct.

There are more accidents on the second day that you screenshot the map. That’s going to result in a longer trip.
