Im on 190 now heading to Mandeville from Slidell, it is indeed a shite show.

That's why I would never go to Slidell. Just not worth it.

Has anyone heard about one NW of Maurepas? It sure looks like one on radar.

And the one near Lacombe:

Sometimes there are wood fires.

Sometimes trash fires. Car fires. Bon fires and camp fires too. Glad to know the specific type here.

After an afternoon of day drinking I saw this on my way from Popeye's and thought it looked weird so snapped a pic. About 5 pm.

Sure looks like one near French Settlement. I was just out at Diversion Pizza today (highly recommend, by the way). I volunteer to go hose down the building to save them.

Where do woods end and forest begin?

Obviously over 100 acres.

It is almost like assholes should pay attention to there being a red flag warning.

With so many warnings, advisories and potential threats people have been so desensitized to all weather warnings that they barely even pay attention to Tornado Warnings these days.

When is starting a fire, in stupid level of windy conditions when the area is in a drought considered an appropriate action. It shouldn't need a warning yet here we are

I just thought it was odd to call it a "wood fire". I've never heard anything other than forest fire or maybe brush fire. Wood fire is a new one.

There is another one that has been burning South of Des Allemands for a few weeks now.

I saw it crossing the bridge. It is way out in the Marsh.

Even in Bay St. Louis, there was a fire or someone was burning something by the Silver Slipper road.
