My anxiety alone wouldn’t let me chance that. I’m that person at the airport hours ahead of time and having that coffee long before that.
That is me. I am fine once I get to our gate (or the Sky Lounge near our gate), but I always get to the airport early and give myself plenty of time to make sure I will make my flight.
My wife is the exact opposite. We drive each other crazy on travel days.

On a side note he sat by his future super hot mistress on the plane.
Could not get any better for this man!

Nothing but respect for this man and I imagine he had a peaceful flight.
Depends on when her flight arrived.

Sounds like something my wife would do.
And when the gate closes, then they flip their lid and blame others.

Sounds like two capable adults made two different decisions.
The wife missed the flight while she was in the damn terminal. Waiting for Starbucks coffee to take on a flight, none the less.
I’m willing to give the man the benefit of the doubt that he was tired of her dumb shite and got her as far as the terminal, but the wife missing her flight because of coffee is not the sign of a capable adult.

I have never understood people that drink coffee right before or during flights. What is the most likely outcome there? I’m thinking about avoiding that airplane toilet days in advance.

Why is the headline "man abandons woman" and not "woman abandons man"?
Posted on 9/7/23 at 6:56 am to SteelerBravesDawg
She has a boyfriend and wanted him gone for a few days.

Change your title.
Man did not abandon wife, the wife was an idiot and stayed behind because she valued coffee more than being on the flight.

I want to be in the garage at MSY 2 hours before departure.
Some times I'm through security in 5 min, sometimes it's an hour. No rhyme or reason. But I HATE being rushed.
Sometimes I'm at the gate 90 min before departure. I go grab a drink and a bite to eat and just hang out.

In hindsight, he should have said at the start, “I’m going to board and make sure we have overhead space and nobody tries to get our seats.”
Then when she didn’t get on before they shut the door, nobody could accuse him of deciding to ditch her.

I'm not reading 8 pages but just in case it hasn't been mentioned yet... ol girl was probably getting railed by a BBC before husband's flight landed.

I loathe people like this. Reality itself, does not exist. Nobody else in the world exists. There is only her and her concerns. That plane and all the people on it are irrelevant. The world began the day she was born and it ends the day she dies. Imagine all the shite that husband puts up with on a daily basis. Yikes.
