I wake up every morning 4am. On Sat. and Sundays I take about a 2 hour nap for recovery from some long form workout. It doesn't mess with my regular sleep though.

Weekdays, I can't squeeze in a nap so I feel like it's catchup.

Some of the best naps I've ever taken was at the camp after breakfast after a hunt.

2 hours isn't a nap. My gosh, no wonder you aren't sleepy when it's bedtime.

I fall asleep 15 or 20 minutes and wake up feeling rejuvenated.

this is the key, you don't want to nap long enough to get into REM, that's why it's called a power nap, if you stop short of REM you've recharged the batteries, if you get into REM briefly and wake up you've defeated the purpose

Nope. Not if you want to go to sleep at a decent hour come night time.

I'm now 73 and do enjoy a short nap in the day----and not just weekends.

I'm long retired and do most everything around the house since my wife is younger than me and is not quite ready to retire yet, but getting close.

A nice "power nap" during the afternoon is a good way to get refreshed and ready to deal with the rest of the day.

I’ll take naps on days I duck hunt. Normally don’t get to bed til 10:00 and I wake up between3:00- 3:30. I have a 45min drive by truck to where I duck hunt. Then about a 10min boat ride.

Occasionally I take a nap on the weekend if I didn't sleep well the night before or if I know I'm going to be up late for an event. My naps are usually about an hour long.

Never. I only take a nap if I’m sick.

Not near as bad as a grown man ‘sleeping in’ past daylight. Nieces boyfriend came in for Christmas. Entire family had been up for hours while most men in the house out and about, and this fig comes rolling out crusty face and pjs at 10:00am.

Just because your entire family gets up before daylight doesn’t mean that makes you better than anyone. Practically every older person in my life has played the “get up, you’re burning daylight” card if you choose to sleep past 7 AM. Screw that. Practically all of them get up early, drink coffee and piddle with random, unproductive shite, then take an extended nap in the middle of the day, daring anyone to tell them that they’re burning daylight when they do it.

Since I started on an antidepressant I can fall asleep at the drop of a hat. Sometimes during the day I can hardly keep my eyes open. It keeps me functional most of the time so I guess it's worth it.

Never. It wrecks my sleep.

Technically a nap should never be more than 20-30 min

Men over 50, how often do you intentionally take a nap on the weekends?

What? Never. Why would I do that?
