Beer? 17 imperial pints.

Man, it's been more than 20 years and I've forgotten entire encyclopedia sets full of shite since then, but I'll never, ever forget those hangovers. I legitimately think I could develop full blown alzheimers and still perfectly recall that feeling.

I’m certainly not in Andre The Giant Territory,
much less Wade Boggs, but at one point I was a pretty bad “habitual” drinker. I never drank at work, but would have at least a 12 pack of beer or the equivalent in hard liquor every night. Went on for about three or four years.
One particular weekend I recall, I started drinking before 7 am on a Saturday morning with LSU playing that night
On CBS. At halftime, I went to the Circle K to get what would be my fifth 12 pack, but my driver’s license had expired the day before and they wouldn’t sell it to me! My friend tried to buy it for me, and they claimed they couldn’t sell it to him cause they knew it was for me. Grabbed a 4-pack of 16 oz instead.
FWIW, a couple years later, I quit cold turkey for 18 months. Got in an exercise routine. Felt much better. Now I’ll drink sometimes, but nowhere near as much.

Back in college drank 27 miller lights over the course of a game day. 9am to midnight was the time range so pretty doable.

In college, some bar was running a special, draft beers were just 50 cents each. I’m not sure of the exact cup size, probably 6 ounces, so likely 4 ounces of actual beer. I walked in with $48 I called it a night after I ran out of money and a friend bought me a shot of Rumple Minze to cap things off. The vomiting that followed was intense, needless to say, that experience completely cured me of binge drinking.

When I was a young man there were a few times I probably drank a case(24) or a little more in a day. Not an every day thing but once in a while. Now I couldn't make it to 12 before I'd be asleep

Not in a “sitting”, but I have had a day of 34 drinks starting at 5am at MSY airport and continuing throughout the flights and after landing at brunch and lunch and boat rides and cocktail hours and pre dinner and during dinner and after dinner and late night bar etc. Every drink and location was so damn specific that I could account for them all.
I can’t say that I’m proud of it, but I saw everyone back safely that night from final bar back to the hotel… some really really drunk people.
I felt absolutely fine. I guess it was just the pacing. And next day in conversation, wife’s coworker friend told her what a gentleman I was for helping everyone and she would have never even known I had been drinking.
I’ve probably had some Mardi Gras or game days of more drinks (or poorly paced drinks), but those days weren’t so pretty and I can’t account for them all.
