Most entertainment industries are in grave danger. Music, TV, Film, video games, ALL will go through incredibly turbulent times. There will be something on the other end, but it will look very little like it has int he past.

Yep. The likes of Taylor Swift and those pop country goofs will be replaced by AI. Others, not so much.

Good. The music industry has no one to blame but themselves.

Likely written by AI or its human equivalent

AI is trained on human artists, so you're going to see a lot of lawsuits (already happening). Artists will get paid royalties when AI rips off their sound.

You mean crappy fake music of the last 2 decades is dead. It's all autotune anyway.

Even this was better.

Doesn’t sound like Jelly Roll or Lady Gaga. Sounds soulless and generic

A whole lot of undeserved Jelly Roll hate in this thread. Jelly Roll is great

Ok boss, call me when AI Billy Strings starts blowing up. AI is just like musical engineering, it creates noise that has already been created. Yall need to chill, put your heads down, and do something awesome instead of spending your time bitching about AI taking over the world. Lazy pussies.

My comment was neither pro nor con, just an observation of what's likely to be the outcome based on the trajectory we've already seen.

That said, learn some basic reading comprehension, dumbass

Outside of live performances, that won't matter if listeners can't tell the difference between AI and real people.

Laws will be passed where you will have to label AI products as such. People aren’t going to be fans of AI for art as much as many think.

Will digital artists lose jobs? Yes. No one cares who makes the CGI. But actors, musicians, comedians, etc.. are going nowhere long term.

We’re already seeing the general populace’s adverse reactions to the flood of fake reels and videos on social media.

For the true art world, they will be fine.

It's my understanding of this song that the original was "sung" by JUNO SKYE who is a completely fake (AI generated) Christian Gospel singer.

How Jelly Roll and Lady Gaga got involved, in other words if they were officially part of a remake or just had their voices ripped off, that I don't know.

IMO, music is not music if a human is not singing are playing the music. If it is generated by anything other than a human, it is simply just a sound.

Are we sure that the music here is AI? It sounds pretty good.

This seems like common sense to me. But there is a substantial chunk of the younger generation absolutely enchanted by AI. It’s revolutionizing society just as the internet did. And will most definitely have a bigger impact in changing society than the internet did. Whether that is bad or good is up for debate. Shades of gray.
