Go to Sherwood Forrest Animal Hospital. You'll pay for it, but I wouldn't hesitate to bring her in.

LSU Vet school saved my puppy one night when they had to open her up to remove 22 round from her gut before she bleed out. They did surgery at 1AM .. It was that or no more puppy.

She lived for 14 years after that.

Miss you Abby.

My dog died tonight.

RIP Izzy. I will always love you. You were the greatest friend I could have ever asked for. My absolute sidekick.

I'm numb. I don't have any feelings left to feel right now. I am devastated. I accidentally left the medicine out on the counter, and she got into it. This was preventable. I will have to find a way in time to forgive myself. I am so sorry big girl.

Almost 10 years old. Died at 12:08 a.m. on 12/7/2024. This can't be real.

Very sorry to hear man.

Have to remember that a dogs mindset the entire time was being with you. We don’t deserve them but even in pain if they are with ya and they are where they want to be.

We all end somehow and some day but you know that dog loved the shite outta ya. Have peace with that

I’m so sorry about your pup. Don’t beat yourself up with guilt. Grieve for a however long is right for you, then start checking the local animal shelters for the dog that fits you.

Deepest condensed my man. Sure the entire family will take the brunt. Last thing you should do is put it all n your shoulders.

She had to know she was loved, and that you would never intentionally hurt her.. for a big girl like her to have a great decade almost with a great life and a person who loved her is an absolute gift; i know it’s hard to see it right now but eventually you’ll appreciate the time yall had together… So sorry man .

I am so sorry.

Forgive yourself. You didn’t act with malice or carelessly. Terrible things just happen sometimes.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Were you able to get to a vet? I hope this was not a painful ordeal for her.

I’m so sorry man. I’m devastated for you.

Try not to beat yourself up too much. You did something that literally everyone has done, and does. It seems like you were a wonderful dad to Lizzy.

Damn, I hate to hear that. You are having a week I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. As others have said don't beat yourself up (if you are like me you will anyway). We all make mistakes like that all the time but we don't even notice we did because the worst rarely happens. This is the worst part of having a dog but the good outweighs the bad because most of us do it over and over again. I am sure she had an incredibly good life and your life was richer for it.
