The nation’s average price of gasoline has risen 0.3 cents over the last week and stands at $3.16 per gallon, according to GasBuddy® data compiled from more than 12 million individual price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country. The national average is up 3.1 cents from a month ago and is 6.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 1.9 cents in the last week and stands at $3.684 per gallon.

“Most of the nation’s 50 states saw gas prices rise over the last week, while some Great Lakes states saw significant relief thanks to the restart of BP’s Whiting, Indiana, refinery after severe weather caused a temporary outage,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “GasBuddy counts 17 states with average prices below $3 per gallon— fewer than we’ve seen in recent months. Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois led the declines, while just a few additional states saw price drops. Meanwhile, the West Coast may see continued increases ahead in California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and Nevada due to seasonal refinery maintenance and the shutdown of a refinery in Southern California, which will keep supply tight. However, with the transition back to winter gasoline just a week away for most areas, those increases may be short-lived, with potential relief arriving toward the end of the month. Additionally, OPEC+ announced an increase in oil production starting in October, which could help keep oil prices lower for longer.”

After OPEC+ agreed to raise oil production again for October gently, oil markets were finding support in early Monday trade with WTI crude oil up $1.25 per barrel to $63.12, down from $65.05 last Tuesday, while Brent crude was also in the black, rising $1.29 to $66.79 per barrel, down from last week’s $68.55 per barrel start.

At that rate, it's gonna cost me an extra 7.5 cents to fill up this week.

Unless you are under 21, in college and paying for your own shite, a loser or just really bad with money. Anyone who has to budget gas prices into their lives, needs to get a vehicle they can afford to put fuel in.

That is most of the driver, the transition at the refineries back and forth from winter to summer and summer to winter always hits prices.

Point on the doll where orange man hurt you while you were gaming in your parent's cellar?

For F-sake, you can drive down the street and se 5-7 cent differences every single day that were different than the the day before.

get back to me when it is a 20cent or 50 cent jump like under Biden.

Gasoline around me has been between $2.50-$2.80 for about 2 years. I've actually enjoyed the stability tbh.

Since the Dems started paying their losers to promote the agenda when Trump turned off the big money to the networks.

Phillips shutting down their CA refinery and Valero about to do the same due to regulatory issues (they are bailing) is the cause. W of the Rockies, led by CA, is why the NATIONAL average is up.

Let them secede, then conquer them militarily and the problem will be solved.

I agree with you. I don't worry about gas prices at all.

However, when gas prices even slightly jumped under Biden most of this board took the exact opposite stance.

If this was happening under Kamala this board would lose their fricking minds.

Biden oversaw a meteoric rise in inflation during his term.

Not completely his fault, but largely his...

To deny that is to lose all credibility as a logical thinker.
