Low life tourists.
Cheap place to trash out. I wish they could move Bourbon St. and stick it somewhere else. Really fks up the French Quarter

The weed smell is stronger in NOLA than ANY legal city I know of.

Yes, it is pretty bad up here.

One of my favorite lines in the movie.

if I have to smell weed one more damn time
I went to a liquor store in a sketchy area Saturday night. The entire neighborhood was bonged out. My car still reeked of weed Sunday afternoon. I seriously wonder if the cops here had a pot bonfire or something. I was searching my floorboards for stray roaches.
I was quite a pothead in my 20s and 30s. I don't generally mind the smell. WTF kind of perverse Colorado Yaqub genetic engineering can bong out a whole neighborhood, though, and a car the next day?

New Orleans is a great, hopping place to be from thanksgiving through spring. However, bourbon street is the worst thing about the city. It amazes me that people even go there when visiting. The French quarter architecture, yes, the restaurants, yes but bourbon street. Hell no. Latoya s people rule bourbon street and that’s all you need to know about bourbon street.

Same here, I used to smoke a ton in my 20's, but every corner of New Orleans smelled like weed, you couldn't even get in an elevator without smelling it.

Was in New Orleans for a wedding this weekend, got down on Friday and left early yesterday morning. Let me say it really is sad how much of a shithole New Orleans has turned in to. I'm not sure if it's locals or people visiting, but the groups of people that were on Bourbon would make George Brooks nervous.
Bourbon street is full of trash, check back at 10 for more hard hitting news.

Stay out of NOLA. If you insist on going, take my advice. DO NOT stick your junk in any female or male orifice. I had a HS buddy moved there after graduating. Went crazy in that sodomous STD-infested place (I'm being generous). Acquired a case of HIV, and promptly died.
That was nearly 50 years ago. Before medicine discovered this mysterious virus called HIV. It appears it's gotten worst.
I love WWII stuff. But not even the lure of WWII Museum would entice me to go to that......
You're welcome.

really think gambling has dealt a huge blow to the culture of the tourism scene of New Orleans.
That casino has been there a long time. The “gambling” crowd is the very least of the problem people that hang out and cause trouble in Nola

Went to times square bad month and a half ago. Was freaking disgusting, weed smell everywhere and there was about 100 shitty Halal meat grills with 200 crappy vendors everywhere. You have the glitz and glamour of the neon signs in the third world crap all over the streets.

Several friends of mine and their kids attended a wedding in NOLA this past weekend. One person had a bunch of stuff stolen out of the car and a college aged kid got mugged and pistol whipped on Bourbon.

I've had to go to the FQ more recently than I usually have to, and honestly I cannot remember Canal Street ever being this bad in my lifetime.
It is so so so bad right now.

The first cases of HIV in the entire US were in 1981, not 50 years ago.

I was STUNNED recently at just how bad the roads had gotten. There were two HUGE potholes right on magazine street that could cause massive damage to cars if they don't avoid them.
It seems like the state of the roads have gotten even worse recently and it felt like I was back roading trying to drive through uptown.
I've NEVER seen another city with close to as bad roads as New Orleans. And it's getting worse.

Uptown, Lakeview, mid- city all are much quieter, without the drama of the quarter.
All 3 of those neighborhoods have their fair amount of drama as well if we consider break ins and carjacking as drama

Yeah, it’s been that way for decades bro
