To be fair, you're doing the same thing that people posting pics above the range are doing. I think it's well established that athletic freaks or hardcore gym rats can look great at either end of the spectrum.

A non-athletic/inactive guy at 6'3 145 would certainly look more like a malnourished POW than a trained UFC fighter.

that is 100% true. I was simply pointing out that you can be those weights and not look like a POW. But your point is more than fair.

In the before pic this guy says he's 5'10 135lbs (BMI 19.4). In no universe is he a "skeleton."

Is he skinny? Yes.

Unhealthily so? No.

People have been fat for so long that they think it's normal.

People can be skinny fat. That 5’10” 135 guy could be 25% body fat and have bad cholesterol, etc. actually been there. My BMI is right under 25. I weigh the same as 5 years ago except now I’m 19% body fat as opposed to 24% a few years ago. Way better numbers for BP, cholesterol.

After reading all 16 pages, I've come to see that there's some seriously dumb fricks here when it comes to concept of obesity.

Some of you folks shouldn't be allowed to drive or use sharp implements without supervision, much less be responsible for raising children.

Good luck on the denial thing, the "skinny" folks of your birth year will be whistling past your interment ceremony.

Who knew we had someone here that could put NFL bodies to shame. Your big 3 tot has got to be in the 1400+ range.

Dez Bryant is 6'2 and 218#. Two inches taller and only 3 pounds heavier...

Julio Jones is 6'3 and 220#. 3 inches taller and only 5 pounds heavier

Miles Austin is 6'2 and 215 2 inches taller and the same weight. 518 squat and 315 power clean

Ricardo Lockette 6'2 and 211 taller and lighter

CJ Spiller 5'11 and only 200

Reggie Bush 6' 205

Melvin Gordon 6'1 215

Steve Weatherford 6'2 210

James Ihedigbo 6'1 217

I agree with you. However, he is also not at the bottom end of what is considered normal for his height. The scale seems right on the top end, seems low on the bottom end. If that dude were any skinnier, he would start to look unhealthy.

as stated, the BMI is about health, not appearence. If the guy is at the low end of normal, he may look unhealthy, but in reality he is prolly just as healthy as the guy in the top of the range.

This 1000%. I'm 5'10" 165 pounds, and some family members tell me I'm too thin. I tell them, no, you're just used of seeing most everyone overweight.

For my height of 6'2", I need to weigh 144 lbs.

I weigh more than that. Because I'm not in any of the progressive new reeducation compounds yet.

Seriously that's nearly starving in my book. I'm thinking 165 would be a healthier weight for someone that height. 194 on the high end actually seems a little high, but I guess for some builds that's okay.

Why do you need to weigh the minimum? At 6'2" you're in the healthy range up to 195.

It’s ALWAYS their go to response to choose the absolute minimum because otherwise their argument doesn’t work.

Height: 6 feet, 5 inches

Weight: 277 pounds

Your BMI is 32.8, indicating your weight is in the Obese category for adults of your height.

For your height, a normal weight range would be from 156 to 210 pounds.

The bad news is I’m obese. The good news is I’ve lost 10 lbs in the last 12 days.

Feel free to hurl your insults at me.
