So glad we closed schools today. It’s cold but bone dry out there.

Where? It's pretty icy in Mandeville. Closing schools was the right call, and I'm almost always against closing.

I just want to give a golf clap to all the bosses who drove into work today just to prove it could be done. Congrats.

I'll be staying home and having coffee and whiskey.

I second that and would like to add the commitment to not spend one day home with their spouseis impressive.

Listen, they went to school uphill in the snow both ways and didn't take a sick day for 30 years. This generation is just soft.

Your post demonstrates why some people are bosses and others are...well...drunks.

Well if the flu and 7 inches a snow and 2 degree lows weren't enough fun woke up this morning to the heat not having been running for a bit and it was 56 degrees in the house

It runs on propane and it did this very thing last year when we had a deep cold snap and last year the isssue was that we had gotten too low on propane but I checked the tank yesterday and it was 70% full so I really don't think that's the issue now. Just like last year I reset the system and the burner came on like it's supposed to so it's heating for now just not sure what the deal is. Last year it would act right until it caught up the first time and went off then when it called for it to come back on it wouldn't. We will see I suppose

Snowing pretty hard in Covington right now.

It was just enough to accumulate in the valleys of the roof line. I’m surprised it’s still there. Nonetheless, it was obviously more than flurries for a little while (20-30 minutes?).

im a boss. We use trucks. I believed the weather hype Sunday night and suspended the routes Monday. We could’ve safely run. Now where I need em to go we have road closures. So for now all my employees and me are sitting in our asses at home waiting on roads to open.
