As long as you aren't worried about some scratches or dents on the back there. Someone catches that with a shin and they may lash out.

Or how about the handicapped person who relies on a wheelchair to get around and Mr. Dickwad decides to block 3/4 of the sidewalk with the arse end of his vehicle and throw in the big trailer hitch on it to boot.

That type action is totally uncalled for and shows the mentality of the driver to be a mouth-breathing uncaring idiot.

Yea yea I know... it's allegedly safer.

More importantly, it’s easier to get out of a spot when you’re backed in rather than backing out.

I've been trapped twice due to poor parking by others when I did not back in.

I hope someone steals your hitch.

The truck is excessively obstructing the sidewalk, and would make it very difficult for someone who’s handicapped to pass by. Parking like that is very inconsiderate.

And it’s easier and safer to get in a spot when you’re not backing in.

What’s the difference?

Only women and weak men have a problem with people backing into spots.

Real men know what's up.

Agreed. If you can't get it on the first try...just pull into the spot like a normal person.

In many places, obstructing the sidewalk - even partially is a violation.

Turn that ball around or take it out as well.

That’s the main problem i have with this. How often are you towing something? Take that shite off unless you are using it regularly.

Not true at all. It's much easier to back into a tight spot than to pull in. You must drive a small car.

How 'bout you stop being lazy and take the ball off for the 98% of time you're driving without a trailer behind you?

It's an added layer of protection for when the uninsured dead beat isn't paying attention and runs into to back of you.

Over the years its happened to me multiple times. No damage to my truck nice dent on the dumbass that ran into me.

Disagree on ease when you’re trying to park between two filled spots.

I could argue it’s no difference safety wise as there won’t be cross traffic to worry about when pulling in vs having to deal with cross traffic and pedestrians when backing out. Especially now when everyone backing out is glued to their GD screen instead of using their mirrors and actually looking out the back window.

1) You should have a long bed truck. Short bed HD trucks are bitchmade.

2) If you had a real truck it would be too long to pull up, so you should park like that except in a location where you aren't blocking the whole side walk. Yes, dick move.

Baws driving these big trucks can never park them. It's the least manly thing I've seen.

I was on a sidewalk.. This was 3 or 4 years ago.. On the left side of me was a parking lot, the right side of me there was a drop off where some bushes were.. A truck parked just like this was parked so I had to go off into the bushes and my chair almost got stuck. I was pissed.. It was a black diesel truck. I just know after that happened the truck had key marks on it.

Hopefully, those people will connect their truck being keyed and the way they parked their truck so they don't do it again.

For soft impacts, yes. Hitch will actually increase the likelihood of frame damage.

No, it certainly is not easier to pull a truck forwards into a parking spot. Backing in and pulling out are both easier and safer. Pulling straight in is difficult and backing out is difficult. Simple physics. Steer axle being in the alleyway makes everything easier.
