You’ve never been to Minneapolis

You should Google income levels and demographics for Minneapolis and compare to a city you’ve actually been to

I mean, if you’re in hotels in tourist hotspots, of course everyone is nice and things are good. England can be a bit depressing though. I forget they get like 6 week long vacations too.

The English countryside is majestic. However, many of the cities there are extremely depressing. They remind me of Rust Belt cities here whose heyday was 50 years ago. I tell people all the time do the London tourist stuff for maybe a day and then get the hell out and dive into the countryside. The Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District, the Cotswolds, the Shropshire Hills, the Malvern Hills, Dartmoor and Cornwall are all places that are absolutely stunning and filled with much friendlier people than you'd expect. The folks in Yorkshire are the friendliest people I've ever experienced on vacation.

If you think britain isn't a shite show... Look at their middle class.

Hell, I showed a recipe and pics a while back in our old expat chat. A lady, whose husband makes at lesst 275k a year, saw my freezer in one of the pictures. Keep in mind this is a small bottom freezer of a counter depth fridge. It has a great sliding tray for freezing pans.

Her comment?

"How can you afford so much meat?"

It's maybe 10-15 different kinds of sausage, 10 packs of costco bacon, bag of chicken breasts, and four chuck roasts. Maybe $300-350.

How can I afford $300 in meat? It's easy when your country isn't an entirely socialist shithole.

They’ve just allowed their biggest city to be overrun with Muslim pieces of shite.

Every modernized country has bad areas, but at least they are hugely spread out in the US. In a small country like the UK, there's not as much room for that.

Most of the squalor in the US is contained in the tiny blue dots you see in the county by county presidential election map every 4 years.

That said, having traveled to about 20 countries, it is very clear to me that the world’s perception of America is the media caricature of insanity.

There’s so many people out there that have little to no connection to the US but think they really understand the country thanks to the decades of extensive US media coverage, American entertainment everywhere, and of course everything else that comes with the US being a superpower

And people in general like to focus on negatives. Maybe because it’s more fun to shite talk

It’s sad there is a sizable portion of the population who are too feeble minded to comprehend the fact the overwhelming majority of the media today openly operate as the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party.

Minneapolis is demonstrably worse now than it was when I lived there from 1989-1991. Say something smartass to refute that.

You can make anywhere look bad if you only show the bad areas.

Everyone on this board that’s never been to Chicago loves to talk about the murder rate, Chi-raq, etc. when per capita it’s safer than Nola or BR, but like Br or Nola, you don’t go to the shitty parts of town and you are probably fine

This was the post you responded to:

You said that one could say that the USA was a Muslim caliphate if one just looked at Minneapolis

A city that is 3% Muslim
