The big difference between car accidents and plane accidents is that you read about all of the plane accidents.
If you have electrical or fuel issues while driving a car, you're stuck on the side of the road.

There are a thousand hypotheticals, but they are all covered in the statistics which always show that flying is safer than driving.

I used to have the stupid-arse fantasy of learning to fly buying a nice TBM and fly my family around.
No way in hell would I attempt that.

Prayers for the Biffle family and the NASCAR family in general. It is a very tight-knit community

So a request for prayers gets downvotes.
frick off serial downvoter. You are a total POS and I hope everything bad happens to you.
Only a POS would downvote a prayer request.

With the report of five adults killed, it sounds like they had pilots flying
From what I am seeing, the seven killed were:
Biff, his wife, their 5 y/o son, his 14 y/o daughter from his first marriage, a friend (used to drive Kenny Wallace's motorcoach), pilot, and the pilot's adult son.

So they more than likely burned to death or.were burning to death when the crash happened.
That's awful.
That's awful.

You're the only poster here that cares about downvotes, enough so to make this tragic thread about YOU.
You have a serious mental problem or are just a fricking loser, either way you should be banished to the sun

what about it?
100 people die in auto accidents in the US every day.
it’s estimated that there’s 1 fatality per 100,000 GA flight hours in the US every year

Saw something earlier about debris on the 9th hole of the golf course next to the airport. If you pull up a map, the 9th green is right near the intersection of east aviation blvd and old airport drive. I tried to drop this pin on the green. Either there was a massive explosion on impact with all of the avgas, or it was burning/coming apart before hitting the ground.

Then add in the close call for Dale Jr and Amy, as well as Jack Roush putting his plane in a farm pond on the way to Talladega and almost killing himself.

And even 737 pilots with thousands of hours of experience spend time in simulators learning how to react in emergency situations. I just don’t get why these guys can put themselves and their families at risk like this.
Such a tragedy.
Such a tragedy.

Also Rick Hendrick. He was supposed to be on the plane with Ricky that crashed into the side of a mountain west of Martinsville.
