I can see why people don’t go back after getting an EV. $90 down the drain and have to consistently find gas stations weekly Jesus. With a Tesla just go home and forget it.
Once we get the gas station infrastructure built up, these problems will go away.

Do you live in the desert? Sounds like vehicles are the least of your worries.

just get your husband to fill your tank. On your car, I mean.

I will admit, if I didn't have to fill up my car at some gas stations I'm around and all the degenerates accompanying, the sound of just filling up at home does sound pleasant.

the whole process is so much more painful than it needs to be
Insert card (wait 5 seconds)
Enter Zip Code (wait 5 seconds)
Do you have loyalty card? Yes/No (wait 5 seconds)
Do you want a car wash? Yes/No (wait 5 seconds)
Do you want a receipt? Yes/No (wait 5 seconds)
Just let me Apple Pay and go assholes

Look man, you made me laugh with your, "your wife put it back in after it slipped out" comment, and I am forever grateful for that visual. However, in this instance, you're crazy.

You know this isn't a thing, right? There are many limitations with EVs, but this is false fear mongering. Tesla batteries last several hundred thousand miles
quote:
Tesla guarantees its batteries for eight years or 100,000 to 150,000 miles, whichever comes first.
That's a decent guarantee but I'd wager most people drive their car up over 100k and having to drop $30k into a 5+ year old car would be tough to swallow.

Don't forget: do you want a receipt?
We need Joe Biden to save us from "junk questions".

That's the warranty. That's not the expected lifespan.

According to Tesla's 2021 impact report, its batteries are designed to last the life of the vehicle, which the company estimates as roughly 200,000 miles in the U.S. and 150,000 miles in Europe. Tesla's own data show Model S and X batteries retain about 90 percent of their original capacity on average over 200,000 miles of use. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also once tweeted that the battery pack in the Model 3 and Model Y was designed to last 1,500 charging cycles, which translates to about 300,000 miles for Standard Range models and about 500,000 miles for Long Range versions.
Again, saying that these batteries are dying and costing people $12k to replace is false fearmongering. It's not true. Are there some exceptions out there where batteries fail to soon? I'm sure there are; there's never an absolute in any tech. The percentage of batteries failing though is non-appreciable.
This is the problem with the EV debate. You have people on both sides spouting off ridiculous claims, and it doesn't do anyone any good. EVs have many limitations currently and are absolutely not for everyone. For those lifestyles that they do indeed fit, they are amazing vehicles.

My Y long range is 3 years old, 60k miles, and still has roughly 96% capacity even when it was driving in freeing temps of Boston. I’d say it’s doing well

How do I pull a boat?
Or get a sheet of plywood home from Home Depot. The answer is, of course, own 2 vehicles. Very cost effective. I am sure they work well for commuting but most people use a vehicle from time to time for something other than commuting.
