In the 1970’s, the Lake Forest Plaza in New Orleans East had a Chick fil A. That was the very first time I ate at a Chick fil A.
There was a Flame N Burger also.

Did Esplanade or Lake Forest have a Corn Dog 7?
Fun fact there are only 2 Corn Dog 7s left. One in Houma and the other in Laurel, Mississippi.

Social media and online shopping has killed the mall - which was a hub of social interaction for a long time
It’s where gangs would meet up and rumble.

I worked security there in the early 90's. I hated the job, but enjoyed just being there if that makes any sense.

Not everywhere. Malls are making a comeback in some locations. Normal kids want to hang out there same as the 80s and 90s. (Normal kids, not youts
Malls still do very well in areas where there are fewer numbers of people who wear their pants below their arse. It’s almost as if there aren’t many problems in those areas.

Went to a few movies there.
I was in that theatre, watching 21 Jump Street, watching Jonah & Channing on the big screen drive thru the Esplanade parking lot I had just parked in to watch the movie. It was kind of surreal.

The Dillards clearance was there as of about a month ago. Lots of stuff and VERY well organized. Check the hours.

I think they’ll have to go to Bloomington to do so.

Galleria is thriving too.
Two Aggies decide one day to go ice fishing.
They get their gear, head out onto the ice, and start chipping away.
A booming voice from above says "THERE ARE NO FISH IN THE ICE."
The Aggies look around, shrug their shoulders and continue chipping the ice.
From above the booming voice speaks again "THERE ARE NO FISH IN THE ICE!"
The Aggies look up, and one of them asks "Is that you God?"
The voice replies "NO. THIS IS THE ICE SKATING RINK MANAGER AT THE HOUSTON GALLERIA. AND THERE ARE NO FISH IN THE ICE"
