Comus always a boon for Virginia schools. Half of their court were UVA or W&L.
UVA had 1 Rex Duke so 4 total.
Tulane had at least 2.
TCU has queen of Rex + I think 2 others or is it 3?
So UVA pulled out to a lead with comus or is at worst tired with TCU unless I am mistaken.

A decade or so ago my wife had gone to school with half the moms of the debs at Country Day. She laughed her arse off with all the bios containing things like, "works with prisoners" "teaches minority children how to read" Because my wife knows that no way in hell would their mothers allow them anywhere near such riff raff.
Sometimes a deb's parents are on the verge of bankruptcy so make sure to pay whatever it takes and college at an Ivy League school so they can marry some wealthy 6th generation Phelps/Yale alum whose only handles his family money, with a giant ballroom in their building/home in NYC. Parents have long ago spent the family money keeping up their social circle life and have multiple mortgages on the family St. Charles Ave mansion.
I wouldn't say inbred, many marry into other wealth from elsewhere.
