- There are a lot of dudes in this thread who are really excited about this. Seriously, why do you care that much? It really doesn't have much impact on you at all.

So I shouldn't care about Uvalde? Or Ukraine? Neither of which have much impact on me at all.

- And some of you are all about smaller government. Does that apply only when laws will impact you?

This is quite literally a step towards small government.

Personally, if a women I don't know decides to have an abortion that has 0 impact on my life. Its the whole "if a tree falls in the woods and you didn't hear it...." scenario.

once again....school shootings, Ukraine, etc.

- How can you be so excited about this but be completely against making the legal age to by an AR15 21?

Show me where abortion is protected in the bill of rights.

And yes I get it, I am dumb, I need to stop posting, I can't walk so there are jokes to be made to try to "insult" me... as if I give a frick. Can we skip all the predictable bullshite and someone just honestly answer this?

I do think you're dumb(mainly the absolute shite logic of this post) and should just stop posting.

And this is coming from someone that is on the fence about the entire thing.

I love being lectured to about medical and constitutional law issues by people who have zero background in medicine and constitutional law.

He doesn’t have the first clue about medicine. His example of a uterine infection is just awful. I thought he would have some sort of example but that’s just about the worst I’ve ever heard.

“Hurry doctor the mother has an infection, let’s kill the baby!”

Don't waste your time, some don't understand how medicine works and regurgitates things they hear off the news and read on twitter.

How many more women put at health risk due to pregnancy need to die before you're convinced?

My wife had to get one after a miscarriage

Louisiana law RS 40.1061C.
quote:

No person may knowingly administer to, prescribe for, or procure for, or sell to any pregnant woman any medicine, drug, or other substance with the specific intent of causing or abetting the termination of the life of an unborn human being. No person may knowingly use or employ any instrument or procedure upon a pregnant woman with the specific intent of causing or abetting the termination of the life of an unborn human being.

would be good to know the law before a non sense argument.

Roe v Wade was in effect for 50 years. There's a reason why Democrats never tried to codify it into law nationally...

Do you really think that’s how this will play out? Or is it more likely there will be an influx of unwanted babies? What type of situation will a baby be born into if that mother was literally willing to abort them if it was legal?

Will this court rule in a similar way for Oberfell vs Hodges and Loving vs Virginia and leave those decisions up to the states because marriage isn't in the Constitution? We may find out real soon.

I think gay marriage will survive. So long as the federal government provides federal tax benefits to adults married under state law I think it would be tough to overturn. On the other hand I never believed roe would be overturned.

It does seem like as a nation we deserve for Loving to be overturned so we are all sentenced to a campaign cycle where defending inter-rational marriage is a real debate topic.

Now, obviously this isn’t going to work out for everyone, but it’s hilarious that WaPo chose this story as a gotcha and attempted to ignore that the outcome was 2 healthy twins and a young family with a shot in life now.

Ben Shapiro read the entire article in his podcast last week while while roasting the heck out of it. Pretty funny.

A lot of rape victims never press charges because it is a friend or family member and the rape victim is embarrassed and traumatized. They are fooked up in the head bad because of some evil cousinfuker. It's easy for you to armchair a rape victims mindset because you've never been unwillingly cousinfacked. Just saying

Your wife had to get one what?

An abortion? If she already miscarried, that's not an abortion.

One thing I gather from all of this is that many people cannot separate the legal and moral aspects of this issue. The decision today is a legal one determining whether a right exists under the law to have an abortion. It is not a moral question for the Supreme Court to decide on. To some abortion is morally wrong, to some the outlawing of abortion is morally wrong. However, that's not what the Supreme Court was tasked with deciding.

Just 1% of women obtain an abortion because they became pregnant through rape, and less than 0.5% do so because of incest

So would you support a law that made all abortion illegal other than for rape or incest?
