Bogalusa High School, Class of 59
Probably the most influential teacher was Mrs. Brumfield in Physics (Junior Year) and Chemistry (Senior Year). Helped me decide to major in Chemical Engineering.

Had a history teacher in high school that was a former green beret. Dude was an awesome teacher. Had a hot red head in second grade. She was very memorable. Even in second grade, I couldn't wait to go to school to check out what she was wearing that day.

Mr. William Waymire - Taught geography. He lasted only one semester. The day of our midterm, he flipped his lid in class and was literally dragged out by some other teachers. Never saw him again.

Brother Gordian at CHS. You did not want to FAFO in his class. You lined up outside of his class in a straight line against the wall and you then marched in past him. No talking or you would get a hand upside your head.
Outside of class he was more personable but in class he was extremely strict. Heaven help you if he thought you weren’t paying attention.

I really did feel bad for the guy. A bit weird but nice. Marine Corps (I think a Vietnam vet) too. I wonder if it was PTSD.
All I remember is that we had finished our exams, and still had an hour of so left in class. Everyone is just hanging out and talking. Next thing I knew he was yelling and screaming about God knows what, throwing ink pens and shite. We just sat there, stunned. Some other teachers heard the commotion, came in, and dragged him out of there. We left for Christmas holidays, and came back and some dude (I only remember him as Mr. Dean but that wasn't his last name) had taken his place.

Miss Gillette, my first non-white teacher. She had bosoms out to here
Coach Morris. Taught a pre-flight class that included a cross country that we got to fly. I had another class with him where he would paddle the girls in front of the class.

Lafayette High Anderson/English - she was awesome and really made class fun Baudoin/Biology - same as above
I was there in the mid 90s and had both of these teachers. Mrs Anderson's class got a bunch of random books and me and my friends were shocked that she knew we wanted to read Johnny Got His Gun because of Metallica. Mr Baudoin was into metal and a fan of White Zombie in particular.
