I was a Fireman for 26 years and I can honestly say that people live like that way more often than you think. Not only in trailers but in nice upscale neighborhoods as well.

Don’t give up hope. I swore my daughter’s house would resemble the City Dump when she grew up.
She married a Marine Corps Officer and lived on base in DC. Better Homes and Gardens should feature that girl’s house. There is hope.

Depends on the location. I know it looks horrible but a roll off dumpster and a $500 deep clean from a professional cleaning service and you could rent that place out for $1000/month. The acreage alone is well worth the price. If it were within an hour of BR I'd buy it.

Sadly, I have a friend who is handicapped that lives in something similar, except it's a two-bedroom house he rents. Infested with roaches with Dr. Pepper cans and Grizzly fine cut wintergreen tobacco everywhere. He has the money to have it cleaned but refuses to. Don't believe he is getting his deposit back. I do what I can by emptying trash and spraying insecticide, but it's a fart in the wind.
