I'm conflicted on seeing a show at the Sphere.
I love concerts, and I usually sit as close as I can to the artist. Something about being in the first few rows makes it more "personal" than sitting in the rafters watching the video screen.
But from what I see about the Sphere, the best places to sit are farther away so you can soak in the total experience. I'm worried I would enjoy the "movie" but not feel like I saw the "band."
Not sure if that makes any sense- maybe I just need to go see a show there and find out.

This is fact.
Glenn and Don are brilliant songwriters, singers, and musicians. But complete control a-hole human beings. That being said, I love the band and the music.
Don Felder and Joe Walsh dueling on almost every song was the bedrock of the rock they played. Don stood up to them.
I read he settled with them and is not able to give terms as part of the agreement. But he is absolutely getting filthy rich as they tour. He was a founding member, and CFO. They can't kick him out. So he's collecting cash like a MF'er. They have to keep paying him as an equal member.

Accurate post.
Lots of egos in that band, and lots of talent.

I'm waiting for The Weeknd to play The Sphere.

It's amazing. I've heard the Eagles somewhat play to tracks now but IDGAF. It was incredible. Sounded incredible. Visuals were awesome.
This right here.
People complaining that all of the original members are not there are about 50 years late. The original lineup hasn't been around since 1975.
Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit are true Eagles by any measure.
I saw them twice in the last two years, at the Sphere and at Madison Square Garden. Awesome both times.

Bro, Don Felder was not a founding member of the Eagles.

I saw them in the first tour after Frey died. They sucked. Henley sounded like arse. Frey’s kid was ok and Amy Grant’s husband simply didn’t fit.
I’d rather see an Eagles cover band for free in the local town center quad on a summer evening or pay to see a Joe Walsh solo show

The only founding member of the eagles still there is Henley. Felder nor walsh nor Schmidt were members.

Thanks for posting. Was at Glenn Frey’s final concert in Bossier City in 2015. Bucket list. Glad I got to see him perform before he died.

Correct. Although I consider Walsh and Felder to be part of the "classic" lineup, and even Schmit has been there since like 1977.
So, the Eagles have 3 members remaining (Henley, Walsh, Schmit) that have been there for 50+ years, which is pretty impressive for a band that old.

The one that kills me the most is the Marshall Tucker Band. Not the same without Toy,Tommy & the other original members.

They still lip syncing?
The Dude was right. Seemed like a big deal in high school.

I’m doing the entire 3rd weekend, it’s gonna be sick! I got to go to 2 of the 4 they did a couple of years ago. Not only are the visuals top notch but the sound is the best in the world hands down
I will be in Vegas that weekend too.
I leave Thursday the 16th and return Monday morning.
Looking for things to do besides gambling.

Got an opportunity a couple of weeks ago to see the Eagles at the Sphere. It was an 11 out of 10. Awesome venue.
2-years ago, I caught U2 there in their final show. There aren't a lot of bands that have enough of a presence to match the venue...but the Eagles are definitely one of those bands that would be on that list. I'm surprised it was only an 11 out of 10.

Walsh
doesn't get enough credit for giving that band a set of balls, until he joined up they were just a slick sounding, pop/soft country pop, top forty type of band, I've seen them a few times and I think it must have absolutely driven Henley and Frey crazy the way Walsh would steal the show, not because he was trying to but becauase the fans at every show I've seen them at would go nuts for Walsh, at the end of the shows he fans weren't screaming "more" or "encore," it was "Joe1 Joe! Joe!"
