Anytime anything UAP related gets brought up by government officials, someone says this is a distraction. No one is or has been distracted by this or any other UAP related story from any other activity or story happening in government. No one except a few of us UFO nuts cares about the subject enough to be in the least bit distracted from anything else. Now if the president were to come out and say we we are not alone...yea that may garner attention.....but if true its not just a distraction... it would be the biggest news story of all time.

Hell, even today, there are still people who strongly believe the earth is only 7,000 years old. The notion that it is older “is not possible” to those people either. Does that just make them correct?
TLDR; we are not some omnipotent masters of knowledge - we really have no idea what is possible and what is not outside of our own scientific and cultural baselines.
