Anyone use Costco? How do they stack up price-wise?

I got a quote on similar size tires for an expedition a few days ago. $1500 for Defenders (I believe). That is total after everything.

Never found more than $20/tire variation from shopping around multiple reputable shops.

They all buy from the same warehouse(s).

I've run Khumo Ecsta tires on a couple of cars and find they have good performance vs. price.

same, if nothing else they're fast, if you make an appt. they guarantee you out in an hour or less,

Bought tires for my wife's car last Friday on their site and made an 8 AM appointment for Saturday morning. I drove up and parked and as I got out of her car, a tech walked up stating we have a crew in the stall over there waiting to put your new tires on Mr. TT89. This was 7:45. At 8:03 they drove the car up with the new tires installed.

A couple things: Fareplay is a moron..plenty of folks get more than 70k on tires especially if highway miles. It doesn't make him poor, it makes him a good driver that he doesn't beat on his car..and no fareplay, tires are not the same accross the board...there are deals to be had. you sir are not very bright or informd or both.

Shop costco or sams, online(even if not a member) , you can get a quote directly off the website, print it out email it to your nearest Discount Tire and they'll beat it. I own 6 cars for the wife and kids, and Discount Tire is all I ever use. Geat service, great prices, fast installs. and now most places do alignments.

Mopar runs a deal twice a year, buy three get one for a dollar( you got to periodically chack the website)...Discount Tire will honor that too. I've done this twice. They also give deals to loyal customers and will give fleet pricing if you have 5 or more vehicle.

Discount Tire really is the best answer.

If in Metairie , I use Direct Tire Town. Honest, competitive, and if you buy from him and get a nail, he’ll fix it on the spot free, rotates for free too. Between wife and kids, we probably pick up 10+ nails a year. He is also a mechanic. Does my brakes too.

Been using him for 30+ years, through a couple of ownerships. The owner now is Donnie, he took over when previous owner passed away from cancer. Donnie’s been there 20 years.

They opened up for me one Saturday AM when I was heading out of town to fix my tire. Saved the day.

In life you need a good mechanic/tire guy, a plumber, and an A/C guy. Those are the most important service relationships you will need.

He's so tremendously wealthy that his only reference for tire life is Sport Cups.

we’ve always used Costco for tire install but if you get a flat and want to use the warranty be prepared to wait a few days - the one in BR usually cannot see you the same day or for the next few days after you get your flat

And make sure they order the correct tires for your vehicle

This right here. Go to the site, put in your tire size. Research the offerings.
Interest free payments available if that’s your thing. Fast service.

The last set of tires I had was a set of Cooper Cobras and 1 blew out. I now have a set of Falkens on the same rims and car, which are good wrt road noise and wear.
