Especially since in today’s world if you have an athletic kid, it’s pretty much required that he/she play travel ball. When I think about the money I spend on bats and gloved and everything else it’s sickening. Also, making travel ball equipment tax deductible could allow for some parents who were on the borderline financially to be able to put their kids into travel. Just a thought, what do you guys think?
quit buying all the shite. Good leather every couple years, a helmet(it doesn’t have to match, that’s silly), a bat here and there, A wooden training bat.

Voila.

Saw a kid, who his Dad thinks he is awesome, with about 1500 bucks in bats, the mitt, the elbow guard, the foot/ankle guard and two custom a2ks hanging oh and sunglasses. Etc.

Guess what, still a AA player weak as a kitten. Half the kids on my kids teams which were good as shite shared bats. The player is made on the field, not online buying stupid shite.

It’s hard not to buy sometimes. For instance when one of my sons first mentioned a sliding mitt, I thought it was dumb. I gave in and bought one, and I immediately noticed his slides were better. Definitely worth it!

If you're kid is older than 7, you already know if he's good enough to play in college/pros. If he isn't, stop wasting your money and go on a quality family vacation.

this line of thinking is what created the hellscape of the welfare state we're stuck with.

to follow your logic of "it's kids man," I'm assuming you support making all kids' sports/extracurricular equipment tax deductible? Softball? Soccer? Ballet? Swimming? Clip boards for the debate team?

You already get a tax credit for having a kid. that's what it's for.

What would really help you have more funds to spend on your kid's travel ball would be reducing, capping, or altogether eliminating the illegal federal income tax.

How about a reduced flat tax that didn't make us jump through hoops to get pennies back on a bunch of random arse deductions. Wouldn't that be great?

I can dream.

No one said you have to go buy the soldier tank 3 next week when it comes out for your 10 year old, or the Icon, or Hype Fire or Dub.

That $100 Marucci CAT bat hits just the same for 95% of 10 year olds as opposed to those $400-500 bats.

No one said you had to go by little Brayden a $400 glove that's pink, light blue, yellow and neon green. the $100 black or tan one catches just the same.

No one said you had to get little Braxton a $70 oven mitt to run the bases with.

No one said you had to go get little Jaxson $100 Bruce Bolt batting gloves.

No one said you had to go get little Brooksie a $200 rolling bat bag that you end up rolling around for his lazy spoiled arse.

No one said you had to go get a $200 bluetooth boombox and nobody wants to listen to your wifes rap shite at the ballpark.

But you do you bud.

You are an emotional mess. Yesterday you were crying about the ladies hockey team and today you're bitching about government help. Are you a woman?

Buying a $3-400 bat every year isn't making your kid any better

Wait until you spend $500 on a bat but Jaxton decides he likes Colby's bat better.

My sons don’t have rolling bat bags, I hate that. Neither do we have a bluetooth boombox. We only buy the necessities. Bats, gloves, the cool baseball sunglasses, sliding mitts, and batting gloves.

The standard deduction is pretty sizeable. Already factors in travel ball equipment, sex toys and exotic pet vet bills.

Unless you are seeking another tax category:
Single
Married Filling Jointly
Head of Household
Braxton's Dad filing Many Travel Ball Championship Rings

Start an LLC for your kid and it can be. You can also pay him/her a salary and deduct that as well.

Well, I didn't have filing for "Billjaminaxxon LLC" on my to-do list today but now it is.
