I want to know the truth about what has happened. I don’t want some bs crap excuse if in fact this was some terrorist dry run, or hacker from China.

I don't think it's based on location, I think it's based on cell phone plans. All four phones on my plan are currently out, two of those phones are currently in different states than Louisiana

Still no service north of Atlanta. Work phone is Verizon and working just fine. Hell, my wife’s phone is working.

It’s amazing (in a bad way) that this is still going on.
I read some had temporary success putting phone in airplane mode for 15 seconds and then turning airplane mode off, but like I said anything positive has been temporary.
A few tried to reset phones network settings but also had mixed results including positive being temporary.
I think those are fixes when SOS mode appears more randomly and not as part of a known major issue like what’s happening.

This is what happens when you lay off 13k employees, with a large chunk of it network engineers and techs.
Verizon has been cutting their network people for years now and subbing out the work to contractors. So naturally when something like his happens no one knows what to do.

Networks aren’t perfect, especially when you mix human error with these giant, intricate, telecommunications networks. One incorrect software push and shite like this can happen.
If this were a terrorist/hack, VZ would be 100% down right now and likely be faced with paying a ransom to come back online.
