Buddy of mine was in Navy ROTC at LSU in early 90’s. He told me his 2 week summer drill he spent in Meridian NAS. Went up in a trainer T38 I believe. He was taking pictures while pilot was doing barrel roles etc and dropped his camera down by his feet. He couldn’t look down so reached his hands down and was able to find the camera. Went to pull it up and the strap was stuck. He started yanking on it and realized it was stuck on the ejection handle. Luckily it didn’t pull but he said he about had a heart attack thinking about it.
Pretty funny hearing him tell it.
