Great job. Sounds like you're well on your way to raising a full grown BIGGOT!
You don't raise a bigot. They develop their own opinions based on their life experiences.

Whether it did or not is irrelevant to the underlying message.
Like a parable.
There are far fewer people who annoy you at ski areas.
If there were more you’re going to have a bad time.
The Parker/Stone Boys have this one covered.

Can you imagine leaving expensive skiing equipment unattended in front of any business establishment in New Orleans or Baton Rouge??? People here will steal anything just because it’s there.

I’ve experienced this phenomenon one time in my life, although not snow skiing. It was at The Master’s. Never seen so many smiling middle aged dudes in my life! But the same could be said for the concession stand workers, merchandise store, and even restroom attendants.

I wish people were as happy and friendly at Disney World as they were on the mountain. Physical and mental health goes a long way for happiness and helps raise healthy kids who aren't total assholes.

It can stay attached to skis and I can walk around comfortably in the boots. I leave that shite right by my skis and never once worried they wouldn’t be there when I came back

Yeah. It’s true. You meet such nice people skiing. As opposed to say going to play basketball in New Orleans East.

Maybe he thought they were all really stoned?

At many resorts in the Rockies, you're already @ 9k ft before you get on your first lift. Everyone skiing there just "takes it for granted" and don't really think about it. But there are many obstacles, challenges, preparations required/involved in just physically "getting/being" at those resorts nestled @ the base of these "teeners" (14k+ Mountains) laden with snow!
There are no Bums, no junk cars with bald tires. No fat/obese people. There are many skills involved. Not just warm, but high end, technical clothing & shoes/boots. And that's before you even think about going skiing, which requires an entirely different level of gear & knowledge of even putting it on, much less using it!
I could go on & on, but again, most people up there don't even "think" about it. But make no mistake.....it requires intelligence, training, skill, discipline, cognizance and yes - $$. Consider the basic need of "shelter". Have you ever noticed how vastly different (superior) the level/standard of construction is built/included in every home you've entered in or around those resorts out west?!
Everything & Everybody up there must "pull there weight" or be carefully backed cared for by not just one, but several other people who "have their shite together".......else you'll die! Skiiers prolly don't think of the HUNDREDS of highly skilled, trained individuals (and equipment, helicopters, snowmobiles, etc.) "at the ready & risk" to launch a rescue. Don't forget about the Mountain Avalanche teams that are depolyed & out of sight. You've probably heard their "bombs" though, detonated to prevent/release Avalanches full of boulders, trees traveling 80mph straight down upon you, your family in a warm bed in the middle of the night before suddenly, violently slamming, crashing & scraping your entire chalet/lodge off it's foundation only to then pulverize the 2 story Hotel/Condominium just down the hill from you!
It's a very precarious situation & environment that requires much planning, preparation; mental/physical health, skill, talent. Educated parents, grandparents who worked & taught their kids how to drive/navigate the roads into & up there. So yea, in order to "pull it off" & end up on ski's @ 11.2k ft.....you will tend to be surrounded by polite & respectful people!
It's my favorite place to be, thing to do in the whole world!

That's an interesting take. Anyone can live and persist in florida. Doing the same at 10k ft takes a more driven individual.

Golf course and ski hill are the 2 places people can just leave thousands of dollars worth of gear sitting outside. Wonder why...

I bet nobody was talking loud on speaker phone in public either.

Was skiing at Mt. Driskill, and with the low amount of snow most people were cordial except the moonshiner.
