worst part of house insurance/ mortgage scam is when you have a claim, the insurance company will write the check to both the mortgage company and the home owner. Mortgage company will not allow owner to competitively bid repairs or allow modifications. The repair company knows what the insurance company rates are for a sheet of dry wall.

People love insurance, it's a warm fuzzy feeling even if their policy is shite. Just look at how popular vacation insurance is.

$15K for a new roof??? What 3rd world country are you living in? Try doubling that. These Roofing Contractors with teams of 20 year old sales people driving around in $80K F-250s can’t pay their overhead much less make a dime profit on $15K roofs. LOL!
