Bought Tesla at $169. Sold it at my investors advice when he and trump fell out. Made money cause I sold it at $270 or so. Should have kept it. It’s at $429 right now. I had a lot of shares. I’m so fricking mad about that.

Letting my wife handle our finances for the first 24 years of our marriage. I've since corrected that problem, but not before she did considerable damage.
Besides that, I’ve got too many to list. I should be worth over 10 million but I’m not because I was a total idiot. Stupid, stupid decisions I made over the years make me want to kick myself in the arse every day.
Damn, this thread sucks!

During their infancy -
Amazon
Microsoft
Google
Bitcoin
I knew about all of these when they were coming out. Went the slow and steady route and have invested monthly into retirement accounts holding mutual funds.
Ragrets.

I once held a grudge over my mom for throwing away my McDonalds Park Place monopoly piece after I got Boardwalk on a weekend trip. That $1 million loss was my biggest financial regret.
Then I watched the doc about how it was all a sham, no one had a chance, and I was just a brain foggy little twat.

Could have bought $100,000 in gold and silver in 2015, but bought an RV instead. RV is worth half, if that, and gold / silver has appreciated at about 250% in that time period. Meanwhile the dollar is depreciating and if we don’t get the national debt under control it could crash our economy leaving the dollar worthless.

My brother bought as lot of property in Destin and out east to Sand Destin in the 80's-90's. He did well, but sold way too soon.

Walked away from Wayne Stabiler to go back to school because I wanted out of the industry.
I was in upper management in the catering company and just helped him secure a 4 million dollar a year contract with Entergy. We also shared an office together.
I had more access to the man than anyone else at his restaurants and I walked away.
They got free restaurants and I got student loan debt. I also am still in the industry.

I've been far too conservative and not speculative enough with my earnings and monies that I exercise some degree of decision making over although technically not in my direct custody yet.
There are a lot of laws and regulations in place to protect retail investors, but the investing world is just so complex and intricate that during the course of my career as a financial professional I've realized just how difficult it is for the average person or even wealthy families to truly take advantage of market opportunities in real time on the same level, from a return on capital standpoint, compared to institutional and highly sophisticated individual investors.
All that to say, financial education is the key. Cheers.

Buying a house back in 2007 in an
very convenient and what has now become an extremely expensive area to buy in. The house needed a good bit of updating, but the bones were good. The home has almost tripled in value now. I really regret not buying that house.

Bought 3 waterfront lots White River Arkansas for $16,500 each.Intended to build a house but ended up moving back to Louisiana,Kept them a few years, ended up selling them for a small profit.
If I had kept them a few more years they were going for $100,000 a lot.
Made a bunch of mistakes in the stock market-not buying certain stocks like Apple.Selling winners too soon, holding losers too long.
When I was in the Navy 1972 a coworker was selling $20 gold coins for $75
each,he had 10.I bought 1,now worth $5000.I wanted to buy a stereo, reel to reel tape deck,Stereo has been long gone.
I have a nice 7 figure portfolio nevertheless I could have done much better.
