Since when is average or slightly below "short." Even at 5'8" one is taller than probably 45% of American men and 80% of women. Go to many other countries and you'd be tall.

I grew up around tall men, and I’m not impressed. My father in law is 6’2” and he’s an arse wipe. My husband is taller than me, and that’s all that matters.
