Tito's Bridge connecting the island of Krk to mainland Croatia. The longer side is the longest concrete arch bridge outside of China. It was completed in 1980 and is only 2 lanes and fairly narrow. First time driving over it was an experience. Got better with time.

We have been building bridges the wrong way, they really should be built for boats, not cars.

Better yet, how about lift bridges for boats in Scotland!

Kinda. Sorta. It's off a few forest roads. If you know where Kisatchie Falls are, then its right there.

Or was.

We use to cross it regularly and it's just a couple miles from me. However you're no longer able to drive across.

The real ones know about the bridge crossing the railroad tracks at Marine OCS. it's no longer in use, but it used to be for crossing from the parade deck to the chowhall, so you cross it literally six times a day every day at OCS. it was so miserable crossing that fricking bridge.

it's actually probably both my favorite and least favorite bridge.

not a great picture, but it's all i could find

Swinging Bridge across Rock Creek near Clinton, Montana. (Pretty decent trout fishing upstream and downstream too.)

My absolute favorite bridge. Was built as a test run for the Brooklyn bridge by the same architect.

Newcastle Upon Tyne Footbridge

This picture shows it closed to boat traffic

This picture shows it open to boat traffic

And this one shows it lit up at night.

I’d post The Bridge over the River Kwai but they blew it up.
