Great way to put it.

The bike I have now is "half" the FJR 1300 was. It's a 650 V-twin. But it's a pussycat and doesn't tempt me (as much) to do stupid shite. And it's a lot more comfortable. Even the FJR got to me after a while with the slight forward lean.

I think the Adventure bike segment is the most comfortable segment I've found yet. Almost completely neutral posture.

“Gotta die of something”

I guess if you’ve never seen it first hand one can’t understand.I saw a good many in ICU that weren’t lucky enough to die at the scene or be DOA at the E R.
One poor sucker we had spent 4 months in ICU before he died, bad part he was lucid about first 3 months. Brain wasn’t injured
Saw 1/2 dozen or so spend a couple months with us to go to Nsg Home to spend the rest of their days.
.Sad to see a guy in their 20’s or 30’s.end up like that.
Good many would recover eventually after multiple surgeries, orthopedic and/ or internal injuries, reconstructive surgeries, skin grafts and such.
Spend awhile in rehab.Maybe or maybe not ever be able to go back to work.
I have actually ridden motorcycles a few times in my life, never owned one.it was fun I guess. Not enough fun for me though after what I saw.

I raced motocross for 12 years. Loved every second of it. Ive never had a street bike. I thought about it when I lived in north Georgia

Been in a busy part of Florida for 4years now. I could not imagine riding a street bike here. And if you have seen what I have seen with these drivers, you would probably think the same.

Its really unbelievable what is happening on the roads. People have lose their damn minds

If that was still made it would be such an awesome starter bike. I had a buddy that had one from 1976. It had plenty of power to get in traffic, but not enough to be too dangerous.

Riding it was where i learned cars don't see you and don't care that they don't see you.

Some of my favorite memories are riding in the Smokies and on the Blue Ridge Parkway with my late father on Virago 750's.

Did the 750's have shaft drive? I loved that feature of the 920.

I did similar. Got my first bike when I was 7 and by 12 years old I was doing motocross, jumping and doing state fair racing.

I grew up when the biggest thing on wide world of sports was evil kneivel. My longest jump was 4 cars as part of a county fair. Had a few crashes, but mostly minor injuries.

With all the distractions drivers allow, riding a bike today is wildly unsafe.

I still ride. A ‘23 Triumph Tiger Sport, and a KTM 200 (woods bike) and also am restoring an ‘80 Moto Guzzi.

Getting back to woods riding after a 5 year hiatus (I’m 67).

This thread made me learn to post pics…

My old man couch Street Scambler- all the work on the other side is in paint. Someone in LA should have that bike- I traded it in on the BMW.

Before the CR500 came to stay

I have 2 Yamaha V-Star 1100s, but I'm going to get rid of one of them and replace it with an Indian Springfield.

I have a Honda Navi, which truthfully is a scooter. No clutch, which I want because of arthritis at times. I ride it around my community in Mississippi. Grandkids love to get on with me. My next purchase will be a Honda Trail 125. I have no ambition to get a cruiser. I'm 65 so starting way too late for that. My goal is to ride the Natchez Trace with my son up to Tupelo. No need for speed. Life's too short.

I’m a BMW motorcycle guy.
Still ride dirt bikes several times a year .
KTM 300xc.
I have a 1972 Triumph Tiger torn down under restoration.
I have a 1971 Honda TL 125 Trials.
I love motorcycles. Always wanted a Grom. Those guys haul arse on the Dragon.

I ride the trace a couple years back.
The is a such thing as too much scenery. It is pretty boring and slow until you get further north.
Just FYI. I came back on other roads. I preferred that route.

Expansion joints in your garage? We don't do that in the 'Sip. Also nice having your water heater in the garage, we mostly put them in attics.

Anyone riding motorcycles is a fool.

Insurance companies will start denying life insurance coverage for riding those death traps.

I rode motorcycles from when I turned 14 and got my first bike, a Yamaha Special. I had multiple bikes over the years, mostly Harley. I had to give up riding due to health issues in 2019. My last bike was a Harley V-Rod.
