Beaches, fishing and boating are awesome when you aren’t fat.

Would I enjoy living in Ocala or Gainesville? Probably not,
Ouch. We move our son to Gainesville this weekend. I think he’ll enjoy college life there.

While also lowering income tax.
Louisiana's problem is it is full of retards. You could have voted for a more permanent lower income tax, but the citizens said no.
What state doesn't have vehicle sales tax, registration or some sort of inspection sticker for vehicles?
I know Florida got rid of their emissions but if you move to Florida you have to get your vehicle inspected before registering it in the state.
And every state has shitty roads.
What makes Florida better is the job market and the beaches. They still have taxes and shitty roads and hurricanes.

Florida is awesome. I miss living there every day.
Been here 5 years and the only mistake I made was not moving here 20 years ago
I boat, fish, beach, golf and work. Im in the lower part of the state and yes its hot but that is partially why I moved here. Just spent 3 of the last 4 days on the boat in the GOA. Loved every second of it

North Florida all day! I have zero interest going South of Orlando let alone live down there.

Vacationed at Marco Island a number of times when kids were younger for spring break. Always enjoyed the place, not overly crowded, not filled with college kids, enough local food joints to keep me interested, an easy place to relax.

I don’t understand the allure of getting cooked on a hot, humid arse beach. Especially if you live in the southeast where it’s already hot and humid. I’d rather spend the money on a summer trip to Lake Tahoe where the weather is tolerable and the scenery trumps anything in Florida.

i personally dont mind the heat if im at the beach. I like tropical environments. 30A is literally paradise to me. I understand if you and others dont like it though.

You can grow mangos in Florida.

thats cool....i feel the opposite as do many others. I love the Caribbean too.
lots of people, especially fat people, do not like the heat and humidity that comes along with the beach.
but some of us love being in the water or throwing a football on the beach with our kids or sitting and relaxing with our wife sipping a beer.
i know its shocking to many on this board....but lots and lots and lots of people really like the beach and consider it paradise....
some people consider the mountains paradise.
to each their own

Leaving my condo in Jupiter after a months stay. July, August, and September are a little tough, but I am not here then.
Unfortunately I am not here in February-April when snowbirds pay about 70 percent of my upkeep

This Florida man is spending the week at his beach house in St Augustine Beach and it’s awesome.
Marco Island is made up of 80 year old Yankees who didn’t get the memo to go back up when the weather turns hot.
