Americans are prescribed 90% of worlds adhd “medicine”.

If she’s made it this far in life without, stay away. A big worry currently is shortage issues which wouldn’t be good with full script

My ex wife no pics wanted me on it. My fear was it would change me. Am I hyper? Yes. Is it hard to focus sometimes yes. But how would it change my personality? That’s something you don’t know til you try it.

I have been a special education teacher for over 30 years. I have encountered some kids who really need the meds but many other kids are misdiagnosed. For example, the manic phase of bipolar can look like ADHD.

I know a girl that popped adderall all day.. I think it was prescribed to her from a doctor. I could always tell when she popped too many. She was a fricking nut job
she then turned to meth and lost some teeth and became a straight up junkie. It was sad to watch her spiral down to a worthless piece of garbage.
Before all that, she was a very pretty girl (no pics) but when she got into that meth lifestyle, she was gross and just dirty looking.
I haven’t talked to her now in a few years. I’m kind of wondering now if she is dead or alive.
I’m going to have to research her now

Maybe, maybe not. I have never been diagnosed with ADHD or anything similar, but I can guarantee if had been born about 10 years later I would have been put on some kind of medication for hyperactivity.
But at the same time, it’s something I feel like I grew out of as an adult.
