I can actually have whatever I want for breakfast. Why do people care what others do when it doesn't affect them in the least?

I need my waffle house to soak up the liquor

You definitely got this part right.

The majority of people, that I see, going to McDonald's in the morning are getting a coffee on the way to work.

True, for years I ate first thing in the morning and steadily added weight. Now I eat just one good meal a day.

You are absolutely right about not needing carbohydrates. I have been carnivore now for a little over 6 months. I'm 5'6 I was weighing 233 lb. I know a 162 lb and run 5 days a week. I placed third in Masters overall in one 5K I recently ran and fourth in my age group in another one. I am 56 years old and feel great. I do pretty hardcore carnivore and take a multivitamin a magnesium everyday. I do not eat breakfast and I go running on coffee. I cannot remember the last time I was actually hungry. Be in carnivore does that does not mean you can eat bacon all day. You still have to eat sensible. But it is great.

Didn’t realize Mingo had an alter

I dropped about 25 pounds and went from overweight to normal according to the doctor's BMI chart by skipping breakfast everyday.
Going from 8:00 pm until noon without eating resets everything.

Wasn’t this pushed by corporations and farmers a hundred years ago to sell more food?
Now in my 60’s I have something small late morning and a smaller meal in very early evening. That’s plenty. Im not a fatty though.

The problem isn't breakfast, it's the food. Some of you need to layoff 2 McGriddles and hash browns
Bingo.
My fat arse would get a McDonald's breakfast meal with an extra biscuit.
Now I'll eat a boiled egg and apple slices or yogurt in the mornings between 7-11am.

Coffee shops are the worst. The last hospital I worked at had a coffee shop in the lobby. Occasionally would go up to get a black coffee, because the coffee the nurses station and our breakroom had tasted like gasoline.
Would always be waiting behind wildebeast that would order these 700-800 calorie sugar filled desert coffees that had caramel, whipped cream, the whole 9 yards. Then they would get a bagel or muffin to go with it. Nice 1,000 cals to the dome before 8am

Yeah if you want to look like a bitch.
Carbs are more important than protein if you exercise at all.
Most bodybuilders I follow are eating 400-500 carbs a day with protein being around 250

I bet you’re a skinny little bytch

I get up at 9:00 and eat a big breakfast. 4 fried eggs over medium, 2 eggo waffles with syrup, 4 strips of bacon and hash browns. Then get back in bed for a nap. What are you going to do about it? Lecture me? I ball out how I want to ball out.

That is amazing and wonderful. I’m really happy for you.
I come across stories like yours a lot but not enough.
I wish more people would educate themselves on the topic and then take action like you did.

quote:what does this even mean? Look up the term gluconeogenesis. Your body manufacturers all of the glucose it needs from protein and proper fat.
Yeah if you want to look lile a bitch.

Carbs are very important, but only in the amounts that your body needs which, with the proper amount of fat and protein will produce itself, and it doesn’t need an excess of carbs that cause an excess of glucose which triggers insulin, which is an important hormone when used correctly, but which is absolutely devastating to our bodies the way it’s used in the standard American diet, which is why obesity, clogged arteries and type two diabetes, which by the way used to be called sugar diabetes until the sugar industry put a stop to that Is way past even epidemic levels in our society.
quote:i’m not sure what you’re trying to prove here. Assuming they are heavy the protein looks fine, but they would do much better without that much carbohydrates. If they compete, I’ll guarantee you they cut out the carbs close to a competition when they are most likely training the hardest. How does that happen without the excess carbs?

It means all these people eating carnivore or no carb diets look like shite

That is because the average American gets the majority of carbs through sugar. Or sugar filled shite. If carbs were gotten through jasmine rice, sweet potatoes, and fruit, they would look different

Trying to prove that you are an idiot. For the average person, a diet without carbs is unsustainable. You are attempting to demonize them, which is stupid. People with the best physiques on the planet eat hundreds of grams of carbs per day.
What people need to do is eat a balanced diet and use a food scale to accurately track macros and calories. And of course exercise.
