So don't even try to push it. Play safe but hit a perfect routine.

That was a bit sarcastic, but true

It's how Oklahoma wins gymnastics titles.

Yep. It wouldn't be figure skating at the Olympics without a judging scandal. Surprise....surprise....the French judge gave the Americans their lowest marks and scored the French couple a full 2 points higher than their previous personal best. The fix is in. It's a shame because I really like Chock and Bates a lot. Great skaters and they seem like really nice people too.

The French woman on their ice dancing team and especially her skimpy outfit was worth the watch today. My. Goodness that azz was spectacular.

She ranks as my hottest Olympian so far. I was captivated when she skated in her pink lingerie and panties last Friday before the opening ceremony.

Quad God throwing down a hell of a routine. Massive number incoming...

108.16. Leads after short program by roughly 5 points.

Best story is the guy whose parents died in the plane crash. He won’t win anything but so awesome for him to make the Olympics after that.

A guy did one in 1976 and got the move banned. Surya got tired of taking crap for her skating and did one in protest. She landed on one skate just like you land a jump. The back flip looks impressive but it isn't as hard as the quads. Surya also attempted a quad and was a crazy good jumper. She skated in the late 80s and the 90s against Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan. Although I'm not usually one to scream racism, her skating career might have looked different if she were pretty, white, and either Russian or American.

Meet Surya Bonaly

The talent and athleticism of these competitors is off the charts good. But I don't get excited over any sport that a judge decides the winner. There is no way that human emotion and politics can be removed from their decisions.

The French couple are going to win the ice dance gold medal. The judges have set the stage for them to upset Chock and Bates. The Americans were underscored today despite the French couple making a minor mistake. We will medal in every figure skating category but pairs, but I have a weird feeling that we will only win one gold, and that will be Malinin.

WE GOT HOSED

THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

You're going to watch Ice Castles later, aren't you. Admit it.

I watched The Cutting Edge yesterday. It didn't occur to me why it was on.

After what happened to our ice dance team today, I would think that Malinin will lose. The gay influence in ice skating is ridiculous. The French won today, because the male? skater is gay.

It’s more the French promoting the French (French IOC judges have been notoriously controversial in figure skating)

Also Zingas and Kolesnik are the next big ice dancing pair for the US for sure. Would love to see them in 4 years.

Chock & Bates got screwed on that scoring.

Watching their interview, they don't NEED a gold medal, they're winning at the game of Life, but you could feel their disappointment.

You know, cutting these onions in this dusty room gets tough on the eyes. Sniff.

Why is this something to admit, it's really cool to watch.

Plus, for the Olympics you get a pass anyway, I watch so many things I'd never regularly watch. It's fun seeing peak physicality on display.

Seems to me that there should be a impartial judge who steps in for pairs that match countries with a judge.
