Kansas was GARBAGE this year. Spent almost 2 weeks up there on my farms and it was primarily goose shoots. Just horrible.

I’m a duck hunting lover. My deer season has been abysmal.

I went deer hunting yesterday.

63 tree ducks on the retention pond in my neighborhood this am, 2 mottled ducks, (Richmond, TX). pair of mallards in the other neighborhood's retention pond, they have been there awhile now.

Occasionally, with a front, I'll see some wild ducks, they always stay in the middle and leave quickly. Usually teal or scaup.

We have been really slow, Smack. Either slaughter or no fires.

Hope you are well

My dad and his buddies have done very well in Johnson bayou and holly beach.
They never hunt the same hole 2 days in a row. In Johnson bayou they have access to a few thousand acres and they just hunt a new slough almost every time.

Doing well, except for the lack of ducks.

The best days have all been days I've had to work or otherwise obligated.

That’s the weird thing about this season, days you expect to smash you might not even grab your calls. It’s been days I just went and didn’t expect much that have been my better hunts. That’s why I keep abusing myself daily. I know at some point during the course of the week I’m going to hammer them. It’s been a very weird season.

The guys that work for us that run duck hunts have been killing close to the 7 everyday here in Idaho. Even in this stale arse weather. No shortage of those stupid ducks here.

We have been fair at Creole, LA. Not anywhere near like it was a decade ago, but enough to keep it interesting.

Yes mallards and sprigs are in La in big numbers. We been on em pretty. good and most everyone else around has been. So many sprigs though but that is normal in my area. Weirdly wood ducks seem to be not in the numbers they were last year, largest woodie year last year I can ever remember.

lol maybe he wasn’t told they were hunting bread eating mallards and not wild ones.

It is crazy to believe that yall only have 13,000 mallards.

Don’t see you on the OB Boss. Good to see you. Must be slow if you’re hunting a deer.

Been a while, good to hear from you too. And you are right, if I’m in a deer stand something is amiss. And I’m in a deer stand this am. ?????

I haven’t picked up my calls this morning. Just heard first shots. I knew I should have slept in after limiting yesterday.

They are all on the White Lake Conservation area. I won one of the lottery hunts with LDWF and let me tell you, that is the land of milk and honey.

I must have seen 3-4k ducks that morning
