I frequent the DG Market on 84 a lot. But no beer. Normally hit the 5 star for that

Haha looks like it. I live about 6 miles east of Lake Okhissa just off 98 in downtown Smithdale.

I've been hunting around there since I was 10 or so. My uncle had a place on McCall Creek until 2010. Lotta good memories made in that area. Killed my first bow buck just off the railroad tracks behind that lil church on 84.

Weather has shifted just a bit at my place near Centerville and the deer should be moving ahead of this front. I'm; heading up after work to hunt in the morning, hopefully quarter a deer then shut the water system down to get on the road for noon, ahead of the rain.

Is that right? I am always sceptical about some Gas Station food. That is minutes away from my camp. I will have to try it out sometime.

Sullivan’s Resturant is good, Mexican Resturant is decent, Hilltop in Bude has great burgers and decent ice cream (Oreo Glacier), blue sky has decent ribs and food, shell on side of blue sky has normal gas station fried foods (tenders, pizza sticks, etc), not a big fan of food from new gas station in town.

The main cook there came from the exxon in bude. They stole her when they opened.

Shell station has gone to shite. 1988-2000 was peak (locals call that place Gaslane). Now you never know if they are gonna have food or not. The gal will fry chicken from 8am-9am and then when it's gone she just sits on her arse and says "we outs" if you ask for something.

What happened with the lil place at the corner of 84 and Burt Jordan road? That used to be my go to place for lunch when I'd get out of the woods. Always seemed like there were a good many people in there at lunch time on the weekends.

If you are speaking of the one closest to the courthouse (I think it's called Hotspot), then you are right. A couple of the guys in the hunting club had the barbecue, and they both got sick.

257 one of the guys on our lease sent me that a few weeks ago. Kind of forgot about it. They actually have some in North Thibodaux. I need to go check them out.

You need to try Grannys corner . Head south on Burt Jordan from 84. It’s at the corner of Burt Jordan and Bogue Chitto Rd. Great breakfast and dang near everything you could want for lunch and dinner. Cheap too
