Coyotes have gotten bad down here at camp. No one hunts them anymore and they are thriving.
We have been getting pictures during the day of coyotes, which started this year.
Just got in my stand yesterday afternoon and sprayed some doe piss, within 2 minutes this coyote was within 20yds.
He turned and started walking back down the hill so I just shot him in the arse I think next year I’m going to buy a coyote gun with a thermal and try to make some kind of dent in the population.

I shoot coyotes but them showing up on camera with fawn parts in their mouths doesn’t necessarily mean they killed the fawn. Fawns die for all kinds of reasons and something is going to eat them. If coyotes are able to actually kill a significant number of fawns, that likely means you have too many does, a lingering rut, and fawns being dropped sporadically. Deer have evolved to have a sharp peak in breeding such that the predators can’t possibly get that many before they’re old enough to get away.

Yes to all you typed.
Do you hunt with us? haha

they are definitely moving around quite a bit on our property in Wilkinson county....they are hard to kill and require you to be there and commit to hunting them.
I'd pay someone to trap them for me. Anyone have a contact?

I would almost argue that the predation rate of fawns from hogs are just as bad.

OP congrats on the wanton waste i guess...but its almost a guarantee you didnt "save" any fawns

Research has shown that not to be very effective. They are highly adaptive.
Not trying to sway you, just don’t want you to get your hopes up.
