This is one of those cases where taking the mandatory HS Civics class should have squelched any concerns. A bill must pass both house and senate, then get signed by the Presnit before becoming law. The House was and still is majority Repub. The Repubs kowtow to the NRA, ergo, no Gun Control bill ever would have passed the House. Hell, that crap couldn't even pass the majority Dem Senate.

However, it was a prime time for the NRA and gun mfrs to make some bank, so hysteria was encouraged. Some folks just enjoy pretending to be victims. So here we are 7 months after the election, and nothing has changed.

OK, I just finally made it through this. I am now dumber for having done so. I should drive to your home and empty 45 clips of bullecks out of my machine tank into your sorry arse for putting me through that.

I love coming back the next morning after a drinking night like last night and seeing just how bad I got.

I tend to leave them up for the lolz.

Machine gun is still cool though right?

Well, technically an assault rifle is a machine pistol, or sub-machine gun.

This thought crossed my mind as well. Everybody said the politicians were capitalizing off of a tragedy but I wouldnt be surprised to find out the corporates in the gun industry didnt have a hand in the hysteria that caused the inflation in prices

Can you blame them? After all, they're in business to make money. Generally, increased demand - especially when it outstrips supply - will create an upward pressure on prices, and assuming costs remain stable, profits will rise accordingly.

I'd be wary of buying anything being manufactured during such a peak production run. I would imagine QC might suffer as pressure to get product out increases.

Some people might call it an effective marketing strategy.

I was anti-technical in the thread at first, then got the lecture, now giving it back.

If someone's gonna bitch that an AR-15 is NOT an assault rifle, then we'd better get ALL of our shite in a line, right?

We all know when you are fighting for a right, the most important thing is proper use of clip or magazine. The more you get in the weeds of jargon, the better the argument.
