re: Pocket Carry 9mm

By all accounts, the Rohrbaugh was a really fine pocket 9mm. Unfortunately, finding one is like the search for the "Holy Grail."
Remington made a knock off for a little while, but it never really got any traction in the market and was quickly discontinued. I think the best available pocket 9mm is the Kahr CM9. The PM 9 is good also, but a little more expensive. I really like my CM9, but don't carry it as much as I used to. For me, it'll fit ok in slacks, but not jeans. The only gun I can cc in the waist pockets of jeans is my Kahr CW380. CM9 (top) compared to Key-Tec P3AT (bottom).
ETA: Although I have a Kimber Micro 9, I don't feel comfortable using it (or similar mini 1911's) for pocket carry. It has more "things" (external hammer, beavertail grip and external safety) to potentially snag on the draw. I think 1911's should be carried cocked and locked. Unfortunately, when carried in a pocket, that exposes the internals to lint usually found in pockets.

You can find a few on Gunbroker but they ain’t cheap. I think my dad paid $650 for his 10 years ago. It’s pretty accurate for a pocket 9. They have a .380 version that’s cheaper(similar to the Remington you mentioned).
I agree the CM9/PM9 is probably the best pocket carry available today. The PM is a little more refined with a better barrel and machined parts. The CM is a great buy and just as reliable as the PM. Kahr recommends a break in period of 200 rds before carrying.

Point well taken. I'm too cheap to look on Gunbroker for anything

I thought about getting the wife one. They call it a wallet gun, thin and light.
There's a gun shop down the road that sells them. For the price and ease of conceal makes a great conceal and carry.

He asked about 9mm and I didn't want to be that guy, but this is about the only thing I can pocket carry without wearing tacticool pants. Sits in a kydex pocket holster and easily fits in dress pants.

I have the LCP (first gen). The gun is so small and light, makes it so easy to carry. But, the gun is DAO and the trigger is horrible.
The P938 is not that much bigger but it is heavier and the P938 holds one more than the LCP.
I understand Ruger has made the trigger better in the newer ones though I haven't messed with one.

Pocket 380's are indeed very light and small (there's a reason they're called "pocket 380's"). My Kahr CW380 fits in the pocket of all my pants. OTOH, because they're so light and small, pocket 380's have very "snappy" recoil. I've known even experienced shooters who don't like to shoot a pocket 380. Because they are so snappy, they're sometimes not a good choice for an inexperienced shooter, including many women. Be sure and handle and shoot a gun before encouraging it for your wife. It frequently doesn't turn out well when a husband buys a gun for his wife. A wife who's not experienced in guns will usually want the husbands input, assuming he's experienced w/ guns. Give sage advice and input, but it usually works out best if it's still "her" purchase.

Any of you baws carry with tucked in shirts?
If so, what is your go-to holster that doesn't dig into your back or your sides? I'm a button down/slacks guy during the work hours and need something that will in fact conceal.

Yep but when I'm wearing a jacket, vest, or something like that. I wear a OWB the sits very high.
I have a couple of Galco Combat Mater Belt holsters. Sits very high and with a pullover or vest it's not noticeable.

When I first started cc, I carried IWB w/ a tucked shirt. It didn't take long before I became more comfortable w/ cc and transitioned to OWB carry. My favorite IWB holster w/ tucking capabilities is the "Tuck Clip" holster by Side Guard. Having the clip offset from the body of the gun makes the package a little thinner.

Vedder light tuck is fhe best I've found for that. Never was a fan of the old school wing holsters like the galco king tuck.

Are y'all using a pocket holster and if so what brand?

Yes, when I pocket carry, I always use a holster that covers the trigger. I don't carry anything else in the pocket either. I carry a spare mag in a mag carrier in the offside pocket. The offside pocket is also empty of anything except the magazine.
I carry the Kahr CW 380 in a Keaton Custom Leather holster w/ shark trim. It's held up really well for 7 years. He has a YouTube page. His email when I bought mine was keetoncustomleather@gmail.com. I've also been pleased w/ an R Grizzle Leather pocket holster.
I carry the CM9 in a TT Gunleather pocket holster. The TT is a quality product, but the CM9 holster frequently stays w/ the gun when the gun is drawn. It looks like he's changed his design some. In my experience, pocket holsters w/ wings on the side like the Keeton holster work better as they're more likely to stay in the pocket
Kahr CW380
KahrCM9 on top. Ken-Teck P3AT on bottom in a discontinued Woolfe Gun Leather holster.

Canik Mete MC9 is my carry gun and I love it. I shoot it very well bc it has the best trigger you’ll find on a micro. Canik triggers are tits.

When I pocket carry, I just use a Ruger LCR. Snubnose fits nicely in a pocket.

I have a couple of P938s.
Pocket carry one all the time in a sticky holster.
I have many rounds through them at the range and mine have functioned flawlessly.
