Youre gonna love it. First day you'll feel like you are rusty and hit 1 out of 5 birds. Last day, you'll be shooting doubles from the hip.

This is fricking genious I think he's fricking with the OP but I'm not sure why its not a thing, is a great idea and you'd think we'd have the tech to do it.

Make sure on the return trip the first airport you land in America you have to get your luggage and recheck it for the next connecting flight home. I have seen to many people including my wife breeze by not realizing you have to claim your bag at the first port of entry

I am packing light and doing all carry on to avoid that such thing. Trying to keep it as simple as possible.

I’ve made the trip twice. That’s what we do as far as luggage. Travel light, I brought a small Bluetooth speaker last time and just left it with my bird boy. Same for my shooting gloves, and they loved it.
It’s a long trip, pop an ambien on the long leg and wake up to breakfast on the plane then landing.
Make sure you get a good shoulder pad. I got the tight under armor style shirt with a moldable shoulder pad insert, it doesn't get hung up as much as the strap style.
Like others have said, your trip might have cost $4k including travel to this point, but if you like to shoot plan on adding another couple grand (depending on how many hunts).
Dont forget tip for the lodge staff, too. Those people waited on us hand and foot. You’re really getting a luxury experience under the guise of hunting.

For your return, download the Mobile Passport Control app. When we returned from our last trip, this app saved us a huge wait behind a massive line of people who did not use it.

My friend and I were talking about getting a massage masssage after the hunt. The bird boys butted into the convo to tell us which masseuse to ask for because she had massive cans lol. Hanging out at the lodge was almost as fun as the hunting. If yor set an empty drink down and looked away when you looked back a full one was in its place. Like magic.

Due to the way the flights worked out we spent a couple of days in Cordoba before the outfitters picked us up. The women down there were either beautiful or looked like they had fleas. There wasn't much in between. Food and alcohol were ridiculously cheap. I ate/drank all day and only spent about $40.

I'd have brought this dog home with me if I could. They had random strays all over that would sit down and hang out with you if you were eating outside. The lady officer in the pic spoke great English and walked around with me for a bit telling me about the history of the buildings and such. Everybody was super friendly.

If yall have the option to do a pigeon shoot it's awesome. They look like flying barges when they're coming in. After we shot a few the bird boys hung some dead ones in a tree and they stayed pouring in.

Pigeon shoot was phenomenal. Big arse birds decoying to all their fallen soldiers. We did it in feed pens over cows. I have pics of birds littering the pen and cows in the background.
I about have my wife convinced to go once the kiddos get older due to the service and luxury, including the massage. Think the cans were extra at our lodge though. Hard to even describe the trip until you experience it though.
My bird boys were awesome. They finally grabbed a 20 with an extended tube so they didn’t have to be so quick. But they would start banging away if you weren’t quick enough or didn’t see parakeets flying by. They hate those little bastards.

When I went in 2008 they got so damned excited when I shot a couple of parakeets.

Lived there about 2.5 years. I assume you are flying into EZE. It's straightforward and most all will speak English well enough if you have questions.

My wife spoke zero Spanish and got along just fine the entire time we were there. Several trips by herself with the kids through EZE and Jorge Newberry airports

You'll have a great trip. They specialize in the tourism industry. You'll be spoiled.

The exchange rate is crazy in your favor. If you tip cash, most prefer USD, as it's more stable than their peso. But, as someone said here, depending on where you are hunting, the guides and helpers may not have a lot of ready access to things, so small gifts are well accepted.

Check it, but you used to be able to bring up to 2 liters of alcohol with you. Just declare it. They love Jack Daniel's and it's much cheaper here.

When we went in 2005, with Trek or maybe Cabela's, I can't remember. There was a fixer named Alex that met us at the airport, we had no issues. We had to bring our own guns then, which I wouldn't do now.

My Son was down there for two weeks in May.

He spent a crap ton on shotgun shells.

He said he loved every minute. Went over to Uruguay or Paraguay as well.

Lots of steak dinners.

Just got back and paid $22. It wasn't all doves though, did a few days of ducks and perdiz so that helped. Got out of there for $1200 on shells. The outfitter also bought my lightweight Lacrosse Waders off of me for more than I paid for them. Worked out great because I had more room to bring back wine!

ETA: Also, I obviously don't know what you're planning on tipping your bird boy, but the standard is $50 per day (you'll have the same bird boy the whole time). I went with a guy last year who in addition to cash, brought his bird boy a tablet. It wasn't an iPad. I think it was just one of those Samsung tablets that you can get for a couple hundred bucks on Amazon, but holy crap you should have seen the look on his face and the other bird boy's faces when he gave it to him. Its not really about the value of the tablet as it is that they have almost ZERO ability to purchase anything like that in Argentina. The bird boy said that his kid used to have to go to school to look up anything for homework and this tablet was a game changer in that regard. I started doing the same and brought one down to my bird boy this year and it was the same deal. Even watched some of the other staff try to buy it off of him. It's a bit of an extravagance, but if you have the means, it really goes a LONG way with those dudes. I've also seen guys bring down carhartt pants (if you can get the sizes ahead of time).
