MC Squallers is a YouTube channel by a couple of guys in Minnesota. They trap, call, and shoot a ton of coons (and other critters). They often kill dozens in a day.

Here is one of their electronic call videos. They'll put the call near a brush pile or abandoned farm house, and the coons come running.

Now you got me wanting to give calling a try.

Any decent, cheap (or free) apps so I could run through phone and Bluetooth speaker? I'm sure a fox pro or alike would be better. Don't want to dive that deep into it (yet).

I'm both proud and disappointed that no one has made the old joke about covering the area with job applications.

why’d you kill the possum? They don’t kill chickens and are quite beneficial

I’ll take your word for it, personally I’ve never seen it. Coons yes all day long but never possums

I had a chicken named cat food. It would run to the neighbors house and run off his cats. It was wild as hell with crazy eyes. It stayed partially molted looking. I’d get an egg every now and then in the bunch that was a little fishy. I always blamed it on cat food.

I have caught them in the act of killing my chickens.
They even chewed the head off like the photo.

They are. Except when killing my chickens.
I relocated them but I won't judge someone who has to take them out.

There is a Doctor here in Lake Charles who has a couple for pets and they supposedly are even litter box trained.

Electric fence 6 inches high around bottom of chicken pen. Get one shock rated for horses and cattle. Nothing digging under it. Coyotes, foxes, coons, possums, etc.

Why do the coons kill the chickens and not eat them? Do they plan to come back the next day? Why risk their health and not make a meal?

Guy I have been working with left his window open when we left the boat Saturday. Not sure how many but coons turned over my trash bucket and climbed all over and didn’t wipe their feet off

So I’ve noticed an uptake in coon activity over the past few months. Put out game cameras to try to catch them and even posted up a few nights. Wife was discussing it with our next door neighbors only to find out some people down the street are apparently keeping a family of them and letting them out at night. I’m sure there are more coming. Let’s just invite more nuisance animals. Get some coyotes roaming around too while we’re at it.

So do I just start shooting them and being done with it?

I’m going to order a Foxpro after Christmas and see if I can call up some coons, looks fun as hell.Hopefully will help the turkey population on my property.

I had an old Johnny Stewart caller, killed several bobcats using it.Had coyotes respond quite a few times but trying to get a shot at them was another story.
It didn’t have any coon calls on it.
Even killed a boar hog playing the dying rabbit call.He came out of he woods into the food plot, guess he was curious.

Golden Malren mix with sprite and put it on a paper plate. Don't let your dogs near it.

Or, get a bunch of foot traps and used sardines. I've trapped 16 skunks and 2 coons not too far from my chicken coop in the past 2 months.

Mother fricker did it three times in a week. It was right on top over the pool. The only way to get it off was with the hose which washed it into the pool. I laughed the first time but after that, it was personal.

The first day I put the trap out, he somehow got the bait out and did not get caught. The second day, he got caught and I took his arse for a ride.
