Browning is a clone of Winchester super x (maxus2) and sbe (a5)

This is an oversimplification and simply not true.

I retract my clone statement, but I think we both know it’s heart and soul DNA is the Super X action.

Doesn’t make any less of a fantastic shotgun bro.

SBE II performs for me better than any other gun I own.

Haven't seen it discussed but don't shoot 3.5" shells, three is lots.

My son has a Franchi Affinity. It's very smooth and a real nice gun. Won't break the bank to bad either.

He got it at Puglias in Metarie, they have the best prices around on guns and fishing reels.

I would have said it the other way around. The Winchester is using the basic same gun as a browning. But, they are both owned by FN Herstal.

Palmetto State Armory has been having a Beretta A300 camo in both 12 and 20, I believe on sale, for $699 recently. A very good option.

If a Beretta a400 is in your budget that’s what I would buy. You can get a 3.5” Winchester SX4 for $1000. I have one and it’s a really good gun.

I find myself using my benelli m2 20 gauge more and more when I bring a gun on hunts.

To be completely honest, there’s really not a bad one out there anymore, they all are good and they all have their hiccups. My opinion would be to go to a store that handles a bunch and shoulder as many as you can and pick the one that feels best to you.

What area of Canada will you be in?

We are going to Grand Prairie, Alberta. First time to hunt there. I used to hunt Swift Current, Saskatchewan. I'm excited.

I know. I use one for doves, but not in a blind duck hunting

I have a like new Winchester SX4 I'd be willing to part with just saying. I bought it after my Canada hunt and my Beretta 301 started jamming. I rarely duck hunt anymore and I have been using an 870 20 gauge to good effect.

Would agree there’s never been so many legit options as there are now. I’m long time Beretta user, but for ducks and geese it’s Benelli M2 for me for almost ten years now. Sold my A400, and previously the Xtrema2. Just a lot easier to clean inertia systems than gas, and less maintenance/TLC needed overall.
