These migrants are being organized and funded by someone or some group(s). This may have occurred prior to Trump but not at this level. Being done to overwhelm the system and make Trump look bad. Did you see migrants paying coyotes prior to crossing the border? Where did they get the money? My bet is it was given to them. Trump is doing his best with the laws as they currently exist. He is the only one fighting this crisis.

DHS is bound by the laws that Congress puts in place. It is our law granting asylum to any poor frickstick who illegally crosses the border that is the major problem right now.
Border Patrol is required to babysit them and provide food, shelter, healthcare until they are processed. By law. Passed by Congress.

He is attempting to build a barrier to slow down the invasion and force them into the actual ports of entry. Congress threatens him and calls him Hitler.
He is attempting to get Mexico to enforce their own southern border, which would eliminate 90% of the current illegals entering. Congress is threatening him and calling him Hitler.
He requested National Guard help on the border. Democrats in CA and NM have pulled them away.
What do you recommend Trump do?

Funding for these migrant caravans increased over tenfold after Trump was elected.
Soros and the Pope and other evil globalist scum have pumped a shitload of cash into helping these invaders in an attempt to make Trump look bad and simultaneously drastically swing the demographics of America in favor of Democrats.
Hasn't necessarily had the affect they want, as legal immigrants from south of the border have swung MAGA, and despise these illegals pouring in without going through the process, after they themselves took the time to do everything right and become citizens the lawful way.
People more wealthy than Trump are breaking the bank to try and undermine him. And everyone with open eyes sees it. Trump is safe for 2020 so long as the libs don't crash the economy. And they've been unsuccessful thus far.

*Is the immigration from border crossings specifically? Half if the migration is people using legal means (like visas or possibly fake ids) to be allowed into the country. It only becomes illegal after expiration.
*How are these people being counted? Caravans are capable of moving large amounts of people.
They are probably using swarming tactics because they know Trump is going to stop it eventually. The surge is basically a "last call".

Recall all active duty military from western europe.
Deploy them to the southern border.
Militarize it.
Build the wall.
All these things can be done unilaterally as commander in chief without any congressional authorization.
