You also have to remember that these LEFTISTS still believe that Socialism is THE GOAT of economic and political systems because their college professors told them so.

It, along with Communism, has never succeeded. EVER.

I have friends who are still living in Venezuela today. None of them have shite to their name. Everything from the Western world that they love, such as social media and entertainment, is blocked. Their cars are 20 years old and barely functioning. Their job prospects are shite even though they're educated medical physicians. All of their electronics, appliances, etc. are shite Chinese or Russian brands. They have horrible lives compared to what they should be experiencing in a nation with Venezuela's mineral wealth.

Just to be clear, your friends in Venezuela, like mine, are of the upper class. Most Venezuelans have never known anything but abject poverty. And this is the lesson of Venezuela (and Cuba, and Bolivia, etc) that when the capitalists have power they should use the GDP to maintain, and build new, infrastructure and not steal it all as they have done in the past. By doing this, they can gradually pull their poor up to a decent standard of living and avoid the instability that keeps turning these countries to socialism.

They do care, actually. They want that here. They want this to happen to their political enemies, just like what Maduro did.

That is why they are pissed off.

Incorrect. The people who put Maduro there were Communists. When Hugo Chavez took over it was with the help of Cuba. He was very charismatic and popular with the Venezuelan people, so he legitimately won elections and gradually imposed Communism. So when he died, his henchman, Maduro, took over. I conclude that the people who installed Maduro were Chavez, the Venezuelan voters and Cuba.

The people who removed him were obviously Americans led by Donald Trump. These are very dissimilar groups.
If you truly believe that Trump is calling the shots, and elections are clean and fair, then nothing I say is going to make sense to you.

Leftist: “Well socialism just didn’t work here because it was a poor nation.”
Me: “Venezuela has more proven natural resources than Saudi Arabia.”
Leftist: “It’s an issue where it just wasn’t enacted properly.”
Me: “it’s caused the same outcomes everywhere it’s been tried.”
Leftist: “this is a terrible win for fascism.”
Me: “so the nobel prize winner from last year is a fascist?”
Leftist: “this is a grave injustice!”
Me: “so freeing political opposition from political gulags where they’re raped, tortured and killed while their family eats rancid meat scraps from the dump is a grave injustice?”

They’ll run in circles their entire life to avoid the obvious truth which is that their approach not only doesn’t work, it produces death and suffering at unprecedented levels and the American left doesn’t doesn’t care that people die because they all think they’ll be the ones running things.

That's just simply not true.

Longest-Running Past and Present Socialist Governments

Soviet Union (USSR): The Communist Party of the Soviet Union was the sole governing party of the Soviet Union from the October Revolution in 1917 until the party's activities were suspended and the union dissolved in 1991, a period of about 74 years.
China (PRC): The CCP has ruled the People's Republic of China since 1949 and is currently the longest-ruling present-day communist party. Its official ideology is "socialism with Chinese characteristics," integrating a market economy with one-party rule.
North Korea (DPRK): The Workers' Party of Korea has governed North Korea since its founding in 1948. Its state ideology, Juche, has been described as an "odd blend" that draws from Marxism but also Korean nationalism.
Cuba: The Communist Party of Cuba has been the sole ruling party since 1965, a one-party socialist republic. The system is enshrined in the Cuban constitution.
Vietnam and Laos: Both Vietnam and Laos have been officially communist since the mid-1970s following their respective conflicts, but have adopted elements of market capitalism under state supervision in what they term a "socialist-oriented market economy".

Here's a breakdown of prominent long-running communist governments:

West Bengal, India (Left Front): A coalition led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) governed from 1977 to 2011, making it the world's longest-serving democratically elected communist government.
China (Communist Party of China): Ruling the People's Republic of China since 1949, it's one of the longest-held single-party communist states.
Vietnam (Communist Party of Vietnam): The Communist Party has governed Vietnam since 1976, following the reunification of North and South Vietnam.
Cuba (Communist Party of Cuba): The Communist Party has held power since Fidel Castro's revolution in 1959, establishing a long-standing single-party state.
And before you brilliant posters deduce that posting these figures means I endorse it, spare me. I see enough ignorance spewed here daily.

In comparrison to American Capitialism, it's been a failure at every juncture.

The places you list would actually end you for opposing them. Are people thriving in those countries? I mean do you even South Korea vs. North Korea? Satellite imagery alone kills that single debate.

Friend of mine Porfirio, I attended his naturalization ceremony at Mount Rushmore and served in the USAF with him.

Called me in tears with jubilation, haven't seen him in years was good to hear his voice.

I used to work with a guy that came here from Venezuela on asylum. He spoke out against the government and they kidnapped him as he was leaving work one day and brought him out in the middle of nowhere and beat him and left him for dead. Somehow he survived. He was in constant worry because his parents were still there. He would go to Sam’s and buy basic necessities like toothpaste and deodorant and ship it to them and hope they received it. It’s pretty pathetic that people can’t even get basic hygiene supplies. I’m sure the Venezuelans are thankful for Trump taking down their dictator and hopefully better times will come soon for them.

Gonna tell you a personal anecdote, you liberal POS. I personally know a guy who was snatched off the street just for BEING IN THE WRONG WHATSAPP GROUP.

The guy was disappeared for almost a year. His family didn't know if he was dead or alive, or where he was detained. Nothing.

AND HE DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE HE WAS IN THAT WHATSAPP GROUP.

I have friends in South America. This is common with the secret police down there. When the junta ran Argentina you kept a very quiet personal life because if you were in the wrong guy's address book when he got snatched up, you jumped out of a plane at 20,000 feet with no parachute. No funeral, no note, no nothing. Just gone.
