Yeah, the money will come from selling off bonds, but I'd rather keep those bonds just in case we might need to sell them off for money for something more important than parks. There's no telling how much worse our economy will get, and I'd rather have that $85 mil in bonds still available if needed.

Fair enough. I just feel like so much money is wasted on other things that state park revitalization is money well spent.

BTW...I voted:
Lew
Mo
Strong
Marshal
Holtzclaw
Cook
Sorrell

Gov. - Dean Odle

Senator - Mo Brooks

Supreme Court - Debra Jones

Sec. of State - Jim Zeigler

Auditor - Andrew Sorrell

To give you my perspective, I'm a big fan of Ron DeSantis, and I aim to find the best that align with TRULY being conservative.

I like Burdette but he is anti gaming and that’s a deal breaker for me.

everyone here needs to continue feeling free to keep chatting about it all.

all i feel confident about based off of what little time i left myself is

Burdette
Mo Brooks
Steve Marshall
And now you all here have convinced me of Cook AND Cooke, and perhaps Horn.

So far, the rest of my selections will be blank and NO for money for our parks. bonds or debt, either way, the times we live in could make me feel it is as evident as ever to use money more prudently.

I voted for Lou and Mo thinking those were the only two of which I had enough knowledge to pull the trigger. Then I read the rest of the ballot. There were probably fifty elections going on and I noticed the same last name nine times. So I voted against the Pettes family nine times because I don’t like political families. Then I went ahead and voted the man in any race where he was head to head with a no doubt woman based on names.

Mo for Senate
Against Mike Rogers for Congress. He’ll win, but he’s a swamp creature. He’s been there long enough.

On the amendment….

We have a beautiful state park here in north Alabama, Joe Wheeler State Park, that is in great need of repair, refreshing, and updating. There are many others in the same situation. I’m voting yes on the amendment.

I live near Cheaha State Park, visit it often and would love to see some money thrown their way for a few improvements, but as the other poster mentioned, had this been 4 years ago, I would've voted yes for sure.

The economy is in the toilet as it is now and I just cant, in good faith, vote for more spending on "luxuries" at the moment.

No on the amendment

Really didn’t care about the rest. Didn’t care all that much about the ones I did mark up.

I doubt seriously any of the choices for Senate are worth a plug 3 cent piece.

Damn, looks like MeeMaw is highsteppin' early. I have a feeling there won't be a runoff for governor.

I just hope Britt stays under 50%, because she's keeping at around 45% early on.

This just reminds me that the voters in Alabama are pure dumbasses. How embarrassing.
