He had already gone and instigated, while carrying, got beat down, but felt like he came out the victor because he walked away free that day.
Feeling emboldened, he opted to engage them, once again carrying, and then he found out.
It's also telling that both times he appeared to be wearing a flak vest.
He knew the risk and chose to insert himself twice into a potentially hazardous situation.

The CBP guys might have had an altercation with him before. The Good shooting was just a couple blocks away from the taillight kicking incident. Those were less than 2 miles away from the Pretti shooting. IOW, these all happened in just a couple of neighborhoods all in the Powderhorn district. It was likely the same agitators day after day. And it could well have been the same LEO teams.

You've answered the question but drawn the wrong conclusion.
You recall "There's a method to their madness"?
It emboldens the protestors like Pretti. He knew what he could get away with, what he couldn't and most of all ... it would tie up ICE agents along the way and still not be arrested.
All because co-conspirator, Mayor Jacob Frey, refuses local law enforcement.
In a way, other than Pretti actions, his family should hold Frey responsible.

And this video reveals that there is unreported physical provocation and property that doesn’t even result in arrest, much less getting shot.
Local PD has been told to stand down, which has emboldened these lunatics to do whatever they want. And these shite heads out there filming all day, but will wait weeks and only after the subject is dead for several days and under federal investigation to release it. In other words, this is happening every day.
The worst part is the people like the majority of this board can see this from a mile away but you can still see idiots refuse to accept reality or otherwise challenge their original opinions when it becomes objectively evident

Maybe a group of US Marshalls needs to follow ICE around to arrest and charge these insane leftist protestors/rioters/insurrectionists.
