No.
I'm more shocked when someone within Hollywood isn't a leftist.

It's honestly funny because he does voiceovers for Republican political ads

I think this is a big piece of the puzzle, but also the vast majority of entertainers are one or both of these things:
- Attention seekers. Fame is very appealing for certain personality types. It’s way higher on their hierarchy of wants/needs than the average person. That’s why they went into acting in the first place. So it’s an easy decision to sublimate being truthful for going along with the crowd.
- Most actors have an artist’s point of view, or personality type. They are emotive more than logical. They tend to be overly swayed in their opinions by those around them because they are more social and less introspective and independent.

Chuck Connors, a cowboy from Brooklyn who played pro basketball for the Celtics.

Nobody becomes famous in show biz by being openly conservative from the beginning. Only way is to become a true leftie believer or at least pretend to be one until youre successful enough that they can't destroy you.

Taylor Sheridan keeps him working in old age. He therefore is malleable relative to political leanings. Gotta eat.

There is a breed of native Texas Democrats that seemingly buck the stereotype of hippie purple hair fem boys. From those that I have met I gather that they can trace their democratic roots back 5 or 6 generations and just never switched teams. They are not as radical as their progressive cousins, but have none the less quietly bought into the "democrats are the good guys" narrative. It is part of their identity
They puzzle me. Especially when they agree with me on so many things but keep voting D because their great great grandfather was a Democratic congressman in Boerne back in the 1800's.

Yep, I’d say as Kat Williams says Sam put on the dress for some “Diddy” years ago

You can tell who runs in conservative circles in Hollywood. They tend to stick together and do a lot of the same projects, go on the same podcasts, etc. Not saying they're all conservative, but at least tolerant of those views.
I think most of the people in Taylor Sheridan's shows are fairly open-minded. Billy Bob Thornton was recently on Joe Rogan's podcast and I found him to be fairly common sense, even if he is likely a Democrat.

A fair number of old-time cowboy stars weren't exactly of western heritage. The very first cowboy star, Broncho Billy Anderson was the son of a Jewish New York couple. Charles Starrett, who became the "Durango Kid" in endless b-westerns for Columbia, was a northeastern prep-schooler. Lots of midwestern farmboys, too. But they took to the western milieu and the genre's iconography well and did it justice. Chuck Connors fit that bill.

yeah he isn't too quiet...and he isn't the person he portrays on TV either....just a liberal nut job who happens to look like a hard working blue collar type of guy. His support of Harris should tell you all you need to know about him.

there are some, but they are frauds.....now there are some strong Conservatives in the mix there. Tim McGraw ain't one of them though....screw that liberal POS. Hollywood or Faith got to him. He was a Riverfield Raider back in the day before going to Northeast. Was a quiet dude, but wasn't a liberal back them, like now.

I think he’s an old school 1960s lefty, but I’m surprised he’s stuck with modern Dems.

From what I've seen probably more of left-leaning centrist. Probably votes Dem, but isn't necessarily insane like most of the others.
