Thank goodness that even with all that practice he wasn't an expert shot.

So you have plenty of DHS and FBI agents at the range you use?
I've never asked to see any of the other shooters' ID when I've been there. Do you?

I did see an EBR sheriff's deputy shooting there one time. He was wearing his uniform.

A local police isn’t equivalent to DHS agents and FBI

OK not trying to argue. Only mention the title of the thread.
I wish that I could afford to get out to the range 43 times. I wish that I could afford to get out to the range even half of that.

Now, as far as to who may have been training him... I wouldn't put it past them.
But, let's also keep in mind that there was a second shooter, according to some of the private citizen collected data. IF you want to believe into that.

How many might next week, next month, or next year?

My point is how unusual is it for people to practice shooting along side professionals at gun clubs?

The guy joined a year ago. He didn’t know Trump was coming to Butler County.

I could be all wet, but I think Crooks was a nut job; a nut job who craved attention. He practiced for the day, but I don’t think he practiced with Trump in mind until the rally was announced.

He really didn’t miss. It was a miracle Trump turned his head at the last second.

I understand that. But the link in the OP also refers to "local police" as having been at the shooting range Crooks used.

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make.

My point is there's no reason to think there is a nefarious connection between Crooks and any law enforcement officers just because they happened to use the same shooting range to practice. It's my understanding that law enforcement personnel practice firing their weapons periodically as a requirement of their job.

Only the most diehard, paranoid conspiracy believers would be convinced it's some kind of proof that Crooks had a link to law enforcement.

Does that describe you?

If the FBI conspired to kill Trump he’d be dead. Just stop with this.

Right. If there’s no other connections, then this doesn’t mean anything.

Does it at least peak your curiosity at how bad the Secret Service botched this assignment and how we still have so few answers after this much time has passed? It’s either gross incompetence and all involved should be fired, or it was an inside job. You choose

Well Trump has chosen, and he's chosen the United States Secret Service.

What do you think he believes? Do you think Trump agrees that the United States Secret Service is complicit in his assassination attempt? Do you think he believes it was an "inside job"?

Because if he does believe the United States Secret Service is a conspirator in his assassination attempt and he keeps them on, then he's dumb as a post and not fit to be President. And if he doesn't believe the United States Secret Service is a conspirator in his assassination attempt, then he's also dumb as a post and not fit to President. This board and it's Secret Service conspiracies has put Trump in a pretty tough spot here.

Based on Trump’s actions so far, he doesn't seem to believe that it was an "inside job", and we know this because he's maintained his Secret Service protection. The same protection he can reject at anytime and hire his own.

What an idiot Trump must be keeping the Secret Service on like this. After all, the Tiger Droppings Poli-board believes the United States Secret Service tried to have him killed. Why won't Trump listen to this board and hire his own security, or maybe ask his bestest, good friend Elon Musk to pay for it? Musk can pay for it with the loose change under his sofa cushions.

Maybe though, just maybe Donald Trump doesn't buy all these whackadoodle Secret Service conspiracy theories this board tosses off too. It's at least worth considering.

I certainly have a lot of questions. I think Americans are deserving answers. The government needs to come clean and tell us exactly what went down.

I remember when three cops here in BR were ambushed by a BLM extremists the police together held a press conference letting us know how the ambush went down. The Feds should do the same here.

Their failure to do so in a reasonable amount of time encourages those that believe everything is a conspiracy.

I have no problem with that. He was a US citizen, exercising his right to go to the firing range.

You keep posting this as if the majority of the people working the Butler rally were Secret Service.

I assume you didn’t see my post not long after the shooting that I believe the real scandal of this assassination attempt was the ineptitude of the secret service in not securing the venue properly and allowing President Trump to take the stage even after there were reports of a suspicious person seen lurking around. To me either of those deserve multiple terminations of the involved personnel.
